I wish "the public" would realize that Charlie Daniels was known for much more than The Devil Went Down to Georgia. But Country music wasn't as popular in that era and there was quite a few artists that had successful careers that went 10 years or so but today are known for 1 or 2 songs.

Jason's Farm is a great song, but Mr Smith had so many, Carroll County accident is a good one, give a listen to MacAurthers Hand or thunderstorms
When I see/hear Carroll County Accident, I think of Porter, and Buck with his electric banjo.
