The mowed lawn one really got to me... I had neighbors like that once... I always mowed my elderly neighbors yard next to mine when I mowed my yard....they had a neighbor on the other side of them who did not appreciate my mowing for them as I seemed to mow a mere inch over the property line, they would call the police WHILE I was mowing to report a trespasser! So, the next time I mowed, I took a tape measure and measured the distance from the edge of their house to the edge of the property line,,,, it turned out that the neighbors had actually been claiming a little more than a foot of property was theirs when it wasn't ... so, to keep anything from happening again, my neighbors had a short fence line installed down the sideline of the property to keep them on their side.... it went right down the center of the flower bed they had put in on the side property... man were they ever pissed off! But, we had a surveyor for the city come out and Mark the property lines just to make sure everything was copacetic before the short picket fence was installed.... after that, every time I mowed that side property I would just giggle, smile and wave at the hateful people who, had they not been such asshats, probably would have been able to keep that flowerbed where it was, as my sweet elderly neighbors really didn’t mind it being there! But after the way they had behaved over a simple mowing of what they said was there property and how they treated people, my elderly neighbors decided that they needed to show them a little humility... it was glorious to see!
Love the pink flamingos! I bought an older home and it had a banana tree in the front yard. I bought a set of 40s style pink flamingos and put them in front of the banana tree. Very appropriate for the age of the house. My neighbor came running out and said, "You can't put those tacky things in your yard!" After some discussion, he left in a huff. I bought three more pair and put them in my yard. I told co-workers and some friends about it. People were giving me all kinds of flamingos to put in my yard, must have had close to 150 in my yard in less than a month. He was apoplectic! He called the city code office. They came out and there was absolutely wring with lawn decorations and I should register it with the lawn beautification committee. I just kept adding flamingos. He sold his house and moved. That was over 20 years ago and I still had flamingos in the yard when I sold it.
I can SO relate to hating those things!....my last apartment had them and I couldn't oil them enough....the squealing was blood curdling ...especially during sleep!
One man dog band... Reminds me of when I had a neighbor (everyone had a house on at least a ten acre property) next door whose dog would start barking non stop from 1-4am. Every damned night this went on for months. Long before cell phones and caller ID, mind you. I figured my neighbor obviously was hard of hearing and just could not hear his dog outside in his kennel yapping for 3 hours each night. So... the next time the dog started his serenade I waited an hour and then called my neighbor around 2:30am. As soon as he answered the phone I, in as loud a voice as I could muster, began barking and howling into the phone for a good bit and then slammed down the phone. (Boy, I sure do miss landline phones). Suddenly the dog stopped barking. It never barked again in the middle of the night. Passive aggressiveness can work wonders if done just right.

pooper stooper... I had a similar problem w/my next door neighbor's great dane that just loved pooping on my lawn. Talking to the owner did no good. So one day my hubby got out the shovel and threw every turd onto our neighbor's driveway. One of my neighbors came over to tell me she had been really depressed and down for days but the sight of my guy shoveling enormous amounts of poop onto our next door neighbor's driveway just made her laugh her head off. She thanked us and went her way and our neighbor's dog finally stopped visiting our lawn. Ahhhh... good times.

The note about keeping an outdoor cat indoors, good luck with that. I keep my cats indoors with the exception of supervised garden time. But I did adopt a cat at one point that had previously been allowed to come and go as he pleased. He acted like I was a prison guard who's purpose was to torture him. He would cry loudly for hours on end and claw through screens to escape. I eventually had to give him to a friend in the mountains where he could have more freedom then my small little garden and he was much happier.

All those posts about noisy sex reminded me of the time I woke up in the middle of the night to a loud, rhythmic clanking noise. Since I was the building manager I thought I'd have to get up and go check on the boiler. All of a sudden I noticed that the 3 cats I had lying on the bed were staring at the ceiling. The clanking got faster, stopped suddenly, and was followed by a woman's moan. At least I could forget about the boiler.

5:02 reminds me when our neighbors would keep using our wifi and it cost up a lot. My brothers and I put up with it for a while, and then they snapped and told me to change the wifi name. It's now named "no🖤" to this day.
for safety measures, we secured our wifi, like for example, someone reaches the are where our wifi is, they can connect, but only for a short period of time. when they go out of the vicinity, the wifi gets erased and you'd need to connect to it again, and its rather annoying, as it usually takes a lot of time. my brothers hated this so they begged me not to put a password so that all they could do was log in instead of having the password run through hundreds of security.

I take it your bothers device does not? Also another tick - most routers have MAC address filtering; simply input your and your brother's devices. That way even if wide open, no one will be able to connect if they arent on the list. Hope that helps somewhat.
dog owners not picking up after their dog deserve to suffer. i picked up the poo, thru out a whole month and saved it in a airtight container, mixed it all up with a bit of water, just enough to make it a thick poo paste, then i smeared it on their car door's handle, their apartment doors handle, and poured the remaining in thru their mail slot together with a laminated note kindly asking them to pick up after their dog or else they can expect this kind of gift at some point every month from here on after until they pick up after their dog and dispose of it properly. since then they pick up everything without fail, they even meticulously scrape up as much as they possibly can of the runny stuff, going so far as to spend close to a minute just to make sure they got as much as they can. with good enough motivation some people CAN learn to be responsible.

Wow I’m so glad my parents neighbors are so damn amazing. They look out for each other and also the kids. They live in NY so is not somewhere out in the country. However, I live in NYC and I had a neighbor parked on my space. The first time I said nothing. The 2nd and 3rd a complained to him. The 4th time I complained to the board. Nothing seemed to work. I needed to come up with a working strategy. Next time he parked on my space I keyed his car. I learned that the camera that showed the area near my space was being repaired that’s when the mysterious scratches happened. Guess what? Nobody has ever parked in my spot again.
reminded me of a neighbor who would leave their clothing in the dryer for hours so as the virus was starting i left them a letter telling them to grab their stuff within an hour or i will touch it (the fear of the virus happened to get them to listen)
I own chickens. My neighbors one house down and across the street (who can't even see or hear the chickens from their yard) call the police and animal control on us weekly trying to get our chickens removed. The police and animal control are on our side and have told them to stop calling. We're selling our house to move about 4 hours away within a month, the new buyer has asked if they can keep the chickens. We said yes so that even though we'll be gone, our shitty neighbors can know that our chickens will be here for years to come.
Mine did that too. They were singing til gone 4am. So I sent them a text grading their singing for each song. They've not had a party that loud since 😉

Hi. My neighbour has two dogs. One’s a puppy and I frequently hear her yelling and once even slap her dogs. Also my younger brother used to use our garage as a football goal but my neighbour kept coming round and complaining that the banging was disrupting her work because she works from home! Clearly having fun isn’t important to her. She also complained when my dad parked a van outside of her house because she couldn’t see to reverse. My dad replied by telling her that you A) shouldn’t reverse out into the road and B) reversing is a simple thing you should be able to do to get your driver’s license. My neighbour once put a post up on Facebook saying that “that boy next door [my brother] keeps banging his ball against the garage! He does it every day! [that’s a lie]”. She’s a great neighbour!🤥😬😅😂
When I lived in an apartment in Minnesota my neighbor took my stuff out of the dryer and tossed it to put his stuff in...not like there were 15 more or anything

Had a neighbor with a fenced back yard who let their Irish wolfhound out the front ... to leave elephant piles of poop in other neighbors' yards. In the wee hours, i took a shovelful and dropped it right outside their front door. They stopped letting her out the front.

i picked up the poo, thru out a whole month and saved it in a airtight container, mixed it all up with a bit of water, just enough to make it a thick poo paste, then i smeared it on their car door's handle, their apartment doors handle, and poured the remaining in thru their mail slot together with a laminated note kindly asking them to pick up after their dog or else they can expect this kind of gift at some point every month from here on after until they pick up after their dog and dispose of it properly.
since then they pick up everything without fail, they even meticulously scrape up as much as they possibly can of the runny stuff, going so far as to spend close to a minute just to make sure they got as much as they can.
with good enough motivation some people CAN learn to be responsible.

At the 7:15 mark, the best and non-lethal way to get a cat to move out of the way is to squeeze your open plastic water bottle at it. Cats hate water and will quickly learn to flee when you show up.

Wow I’m so glad my parents neighbors are so damn amazing. They look out for each other and also the kids. They live in NY so is not somewhere out in the country. However, I live in NYC and I had a neighbor parked on my space. The first time I said nothing. The 2nd and 3rd a complained to him. The 4th time I complained to the board. Nothing seemed to work. I needed to come up with a working strategy. Next time he parked on my space I keyed his car. I learned that the camera that showed the area near my space was being repaired that’s when the mysterious scratches happened. Guess what? Nobody has ever parked in my spot again.
Maybe a bit OTT? Letting down a tyre or three may have been a better option?!

I own chickens. My neighbors one house down and across the street (who can't even see or hear the chickens from their yard) call the police and animal control on us weekly trying to get our chickens removed. The police and animal control are on our side and have told them to stop calling. We're selling our house to move about 4 hours away within a month, the new buyer has asked if they can keep the chickens. We said yes so that even though we'll be gone, our shitty neighbors can know that our chickens will be here for years to come.
I hope you are getting more chickens at your new home! That will be eggsciting!

Hi. My neighbour has two dogs. One’s a puppy and I frequently hear her yelling and once even slap her dogs. Also my younger brother used to use our garage as a football goal but my neighbour kept coming round and complaining that the banging was disrupting her work because she works from home! Clearly having fun isn’t important to her. She also complained when my dad parked a van outside of her house because she couldn’t see to reverse. My dad replied by telling her that you A) shouldn’t reverse out into the road and B) reversing is a simple thing you should be able to do to get your driver’s license. My neighbour once put a post up on Facebook saying that “that boy next door [my brother] keeps banging his ball against the garage! He does it every day! [that’s a lie]”. She’s a great neighbour!🤥😬😅😂

Had a neighbor with a fenced back yard who let their Irish wolfhound out the front ... to leave elephant piles of poop in other neighbors' yards. In the wee hours, i took a shovelful and dropped it right outside their front door. They stopped letting her out the front.
