Long time ago, I got the chance to see his one of clip inwhich he performed "Chal meri been na maror" that was so marvellous. It stayed in my memory for ever as at that we had only video cassettes and not social media. I later after many years, tried to find out same show and found his talent and work which never known to most of us. I pay tribute to such a legendary personality in the world of humour.
He is best known for role of "Umru Ayyar" he played in the TV Series "Ainak Wala Jin"... came to know a couple of years ago that he is suffering from several chronic health disorders. Due to lack of resources he was not able to get due treatment; We Pakistanis have a cruel history towards our artists... he is not the only example... Many unmatched singers, comedians, musicians and other artists were forgotten in the time of their suffering. Almighty Allah bestowed us with so many blessed people but we have been thankless :(
Hi Abrar ! I appreciate your prayers and thankful that you brought up the real issue which has been faced by Pakistani artists . May Allah bring ease for our talented artists who are suffering due to lack of resources .
I never heard that song sung by any other artist from South Asia. Lata Sung for the movie. By the way come out of that border mentality and enjoy Mr. Butt's talent. I had the opportunity to watch and listen to him. It was great.
