@@iamfighterman9646It's not expensive and you can definitely get it. I have done General Chemistry I in College and the first experiment they have is a titration. That happens when there's almosy enough chemical content in the water to cause property change, but they need to be mixed to makr some partial area have enough concentration for this to occur. What you need to do is search "Titration magic water" on youtube and see how others do it.

Tbh, I think it would be harder, though the experiments would be cool, you would have to learn and understand why the reactions happen the way they do.
How I thought chemistry was gonna be when I was young: How it really was: ok balance these equations, rewrite formulas, you have a test next class, etc
The things you learn in "How it really was:" may be super important, but we NEED to do the actual experiments to truly tie that knowledge to real world things, or it'll all uselessly disappear away
These arent your regular students. They are kids who purposefully join the chemistry team to do these experiments after school. Trust me, he would never let an average student do these things all on their own xD. (Im one of his students currently, this guy is crazy smart)

When I was young we were allowed to use radioactive substances. Like many other things, this is no longer allowed. Mostly because of the mischief the kids get up to. If you must blame someone, blame your seniors for breaking lab rules. Their parents (and yours) did not appreciate it. I imagine someone lobbied a lot for this video to happen.
They also wear short pants, some of them haven't a lab coat and in fact Potassium dichromate is an CMR u have to wear a FFP, lab glasses and gloves... They do so many things wrong it's acctually insane that nobody got killed yet :P
5:12... the orange Liquid is a mix out of Potassium dichromate and hydrochlorid acid... Furthermore BaCl2 is toxic and Phenolphtalein is probably a CMR...
I've got an advanced degree in chemistry and have spent 30 years in the profession but I still love these experiments that show students chemistry is real and all around us. Great job. I hate to be that guy but, safety glasses and goggles please.

Our school is so extra they literally made us wear safety goggles, gloves, hairnets and labcoats just for a yeast and warm water experiment. One girl was sent to the office for taking her glasses off for taking her glasses off even after she was done doing her experiment.
And this is the reason why I want to go in foreign to study , in my country even if I go to some of the best reputed colleges , there aren't much such practicals executed . Chemistry is my love and I wanna pursue it only due to these cool experiencments it offers .

I loved science in school and watching this is making me want to go back. Doing experiments with chemicals etc is fun but also very dangerous. I'm from Cornwall UK. I did chemistry, physics and biology and wanted to leave and study human microbiology and physics. I had the highest grades you could get then which were distinctions. I became a mum at 18 and poured all my energy into that for a while and I'm glad I did, I've learnt so much. Building, mechanics, electrics and more. Who says women need a man around the house..... Lol I got my man but its him shouting to me for these things not the other way Everyday household products can also cause reactions and they can be serious. An example of this is... Bleach + alcohol = chloroform Always read warnings, labels and never mix household cleaning products or any product that has a chemical base

Many people over here are commenting on lack of safety with which these experiments are being performed. I agree. Safety must be there. But I haven't met anyone who had interest in chemistry and yet never inhaled NO2 or got irritated because of H2S or had spilled some acid on his/her hand... I am not promoting recklessness for safety, I am just saying that people learn by experience. Chemistry is really fun. This was a good video!

Once there was an activity of making soap and the spirit lamp slipped out the hand of one student and half of the slab caught fire. That was the last day in our lab since then😂
Well that's terrific hope we enjoy this much in school labs as well rather than burning our nose in book it's real chemistry 😀😎

It is fun to do them (my school made some of this experiments too plus some other) but it takes some time

I loved science in school and watching this is making me want to go back. Doing experiments with chemicals etc is fun but also very dangerous. I'm from Cornwall UK. I did chemistry, physics and biology and wanted to leave and study human microbiology and physics. I had the highest grades you could get then which were distinctions. I became a mum at 18 and poured all my energy into that for a while and I'm glad I did, I've learnt so much. Building, mechanics, electrics and more. Who says women need a man around the house..... Lol I got my man but its him shouting to me for these things not the other way

Always read warnings, labels and never mix household cleaning products or any product that has a chemical base

That's more fun than mine, in my school we've learnt the basic chemistry lab experiments, inorganic salts upto group 2 and titration chromatography and stuff like that

Many people over here are commenting on lack of safety with which these experiments are being performed. I agree. Safety must be there.
But I haven't met anyone who had interest in chemistry and yet never inhaled NO2 or got irritated because of H2S or had spilled some acid on his/her hand...
I am not promoting recklessness for safety, I am just saying that people learn by experience.

Μου εκανε μεγαλη εντυπωση ο τροπος που εκαναν οι μαθητες τα πειραματα και φανταστηκα οτι τα πειραματα τα εκαναν σε καποιο ξενο σχολειο, ε οταν διαβασα τα σχολια και καταλαβα οτι το σχολειο ειναι Ελληνικο επαθα πλακα...Συγχαρητηρια στον καθηγητη και στους μαθητες!Πολυ προσοχη δεν παιζουν με τη χημεια,τα πειραματα πρεπει να γινονται υπο καταλληλες προυποθέσεις και πανω απ ολα να λαμβανονται μετρα προστασιας γιατι ειναι πολυ ευκολο να συμβει ατυχημα
