Nick's take on lolis is the most sensible one. One of the few tropes I hate the most is girls hitting guys for no reason at all even if the problem is the girl's fault is one of the most obnoxious, annoying tropes to exist. And the fact that the guys just take it and never stand up for themselves or hit back makes it even worse.
i fully agree, it mostly happens in trashy harem/romance anime, but whenever i see a guy in an anime take a bath or go to the bathroom completely alone and in peace, and then a girl walks in, gets embarrassed and flustered and then proceeds to assault him because she saw him in there is really annoying.

If she acts like shes 1000 years old, than its whatever; crushing on her isnt really weird cuz she is, for all intents and purposes, an adult. but if shes "1000" years old, but acts like a literal fucking baby, thats sus af. Some (hopefully the majority) grow out of it, some don't.

For example you find Elaine hot but do you also find Anya hot? Their ages show in their behaviour. And anime characters usually don't have such detailed facial features. So most of the time you can't tell their age based on how they look. More like what they wear and their behaviour. Very based take on lolis, from what i've seen anti-loli's tend to be a far greater danger to children by being creeps, sex offenders, groomers, doxxers, pdfiles, etc themselves - and even when they aren't, they're often still hypocrites who like loli's or equivalent themselves, and tend to devalue terms by misusing them. The fact that there have been *multiple* incidents of CSA victims being sent CSEM of *themselves* by antis over loli is very tellling. My least favourite trope is probably unnecessary love triangles - there is almost always a completely obvious solution. Three people in love with each other? Two people into one person who returns/wants to return both of their feelings? Poly relationship. Two people in love with each other and a third character who is into one of them? A few words in defense of Usopp. He is an absolutely unique character and deserves to be loved for it. Just think about it. He is an ordinary person who survives in a world of overpowered monsters with godlike abilities. Where else have you seen something like this? As long as the lolis aren't distracting I really couldn't care. Not a fan of them but also not a hater. To me its just a body type as the keyword is childlike appearance like being similar but not the actual thing. There's a show called dangers in my heart that also seems to fit the trope he was talking about (the romance anime section about loser boy getting the girl) that I watched, that show was really good imo, first 2 episodes is literally him talking ab how he wants to kill her cause she's popular, by the last episode he's opening up about how he loves going to school now because of her, all because she went to the library to eat her snacks.

I'd just like any of these people who got popular from getting into anime to try any Visual Novel or even just react to the OP or ED of something like Song of Saya or any SciAdv VN songs. They're weird to get into but something like Steins;Gate is consider to be top 5 anime on MAL and has so much good cut content due to being shorter than the VN same with Clannad AS. My principle is: if you are attracted to the body of a child, real or fictional, that makes you, at the very least, mentally ill. Because you are not attracted to people in adult bodies, which is what we’ve accepted in society as the norm, the standard, and for good reason: children are undeveloped mentally and physically. The only argument I really ever hear against this position is: ‘It’s fictional. It’s a drawing. No one is being harmed’. Ok… let’s use the example of hyper realistic drawings. If there is a hyper realistic drawing, or someone uses AI software to create a video, of a child in a sexualised manner, is it still ‘just a drawing’? You are one step away from being a pedo - that step would be procuring real CP material. So, should that barrier (reality vs fiction) prevent people from being called mentally ill; as I’ve said above? I don’t think so. Clannad AS literally has one of the best developped love and life story after high school graduation. A Silent Voice is a beautiful story of mutual love, help and understanding. Chihayafuru, on top of being an inspiriational sports anime, has a nice love complex riddled with self doubt (idk how to say what I wanna say If you know you know). Wotakoi is a sweet and funny romance about two office workers. Like you can find so many nice things and you decide to bitch about the bottom of the trash bruh, this guy got me mad smh

All W takes, only trope I've found myself actually annoyed at is the random lesbian in a harem that within 2 or 3 episodes falls for the guy - there was no reason for them to be a lesbian at all, main offender being Date A Live. I'm fine with yuri, not my thing but I'm fine with it if it's there but then there's also the random girl that's way to clinging and constantly going on about how much they love another girl (Usually their senpai and/or the main characters love interest) and it just adds some forced drama or feels dumb, Main offender being Horimiya (By the end I didn't hate her but it was still annoying), Aokana used it pretty well in the Visual Novel and said senpai-obsessed character was my 2nd or 1st favourite (haven't finished) cause she was developed really well and isn't just annoying to the MC for no reason but that's the only exception I've seen and it's probably cause they have to make her having a route make sense. Edit: I like when this guy showed the list from his loli rant on his romance rant when fucking Yuru Camp was there

A young looking character being mature is a problem because it allows the viewer to indulge the narrative that sex with them would be consensual And a sexualized mature looking character being young, often with young character traits/personality, is a problem because it allows the viewer to sexualize their behavior/personality (like being immature, bratty, innocent, vulnerable to manipulation or just child-like traits), while having the sexy looks, having "the best of both worlds" Both things are intently done so the viewers would indulge in them, so it's no surprise that people would like it (although it's not ideal) The bigger problem is the large-scale production of media with these things, being normalized worldwide Companies (like magazines or anime producers) will do anything that's lucrative, no matter how harmful it is, that's why legislation is crucial But the production of child pornography was only banned in Japan in 1999, and the posession of it only banned in 2014 To this day there is a loop-hole in Japan's law that allows explicit child pornography in animation or manga People are discussing this topic in a surface level, focusing only in the consumers, when it really trades back to how historically permissive Japan is with fvcked up shit (like pedophilia) And ppl worldwide are eating it up

Well, i'm not really a "loli" but there is a bunch of females like me who looks realy young. I'm 33 with husband and a child, and last week, I opened a door to a worker who was hired for fixing that door AND he asked me if there were my parents at home LOL. It hapens to me often. Even my distant family at my wedding (I was 25) asked me why I am in such a hurry to get married, becouse they assumed I'm max 18 years old. Honestly the way this video sounds to me is "Im an anime fan who hates anime". As an anime fan myself i have noticed a lot of other "anime fans" seem to be able to very confidently spew their opinions. Ill throw in a gripe of my own though, sometimes the pervert characters they add can get really annoying for me as i dont like simps, I grew to love Jiraya and I like Sanji and Mineta despite this but there are other pervert characters that have pissed me off. One show in particular was Ranma 1/2 with an old man pervert who actually went around stealing underwear regularly. I do get frustrated a bit when the women in anime are so quick to punch one of the characters but for me it translates to liking the women who are confident in their body and that a person accidentally seeing doesnt evoke a violent response. Unused side characters, many times one piece had done this. i will give you and example veldora from tensura, even after befriending him. rimuru didnt use him, cuz he was overpowered. Buu from dragon ball super. is another greatest example they never use. bros entire screen time "zzZ" hawkeye is a usopp in avengers. lowkey they are useless. but will come in clutch some time.

Ok so I feel I need to say a few things in regards to the video. First of all the only time I have an issue with loli is when the character is meant to be a child in the series like anya. When it comes to other characters that cannonly are of age I do not see it as a problem, because lets face it even taking the idea that it is just a drawing out of the equation the guy you are reacting to fails to realize that even irl short stacks exist. Guess the 4ft to 5ft girls I know that are in their 30s should not date simply because they look a little too young. Next is fanservice which guys lets be honest if you dislike fanservice then shonen anime is not for you. The entire point of shonen anime or should I say the audience of it is teenagers and above and while I can agree that there are times that it is over the top even in there just having it is not an automatic self destruct button.
Shounen… do you guys even know what that means?? It’s for young dudes. That’s the point of it, so they obviously wanna make relatable young male characters for the target audience. Those characters carry all the fights and stuff in the damn show. Of course a really good female character is enjoyable every now and then and it makes for a decent story, but if that isn’t present in a “shounen” anime, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The useless lead female character is a thing because most of the good moments are taken up by the lead male characters. Whenever the female characters pop off that’s just bonus. If you wanna watch something where the female characters are that important, look at anime that don’t have a target audience of 12 year old boy and if you don’t wanna switch up genres so badly then commit to having to look for the rare occasion cause you’re looking in the wrong place

Wotakoi is a sweet and funny romance about two office workers. Like you can find so many nice things and you decide to bitch about the bottom of the trash bruh, this guy got me mad smh

All W takes, only trope I've found myself actually annoyed at is the random lesbian in a harem that within 2 or 3 episodes falls for the guy - there was no reason for them to be a lesbian at all, main offender being Date A Live. I'm fine with yuri, not my thing but I'm fine with it if it's there but then there's also the random girl that's way to clinging and constantly going on about how much they love another girl (Usually their senpai and/or the main characters love interest) and it just adds some forced drama or feels dumb, Main offender being Horimiya (By the end I didn't hate her but it was still annoying), Aokana used it pretty well in the Visual Novel and said senpai-obsessed character was my 2nd or 1st favourite (haven't finished) cause she was developed really well and isn't just annoying to the MC for no reason but that's the only exception I've seen and it's probably cause they have to make her having a route make sense.

In my opinion, the problem is more in the production than in the consumption.
A young looking character being mature is a problem because it allows the viewer to indulge the narrative that sex with them would be consensual
And a sexualized mature looking character being young, often with young character traits/personality, is a problem because it allows the viewer to sexualize their behavior/personality (like being immature, bratty, innocent, vulnerable to manipulation or just child-like traits), while having the sexy looks, having "the best of both worlds"
Both things are intently done so the viewers would indulge in them, so it's no surprise that people would like it (although it's not ideal)
The bigger problem is the large-scale production of media with these things, being normalized worldwide
Companies (like magazines or anime producers) will do anything that's lucrative, no matter how harmful it is, that's why legislation is crucial
But the production of child pornography was only banned in Japan in 1999, and the posession of it only banned in 2014
To this day there is a loop-hole in Japan's law that allows explicit child pornography in animation or manga
People are discussing this topic in a surface level, focusing only in the consumers, when it really trades back to how historically permissive Japan is with fvcked up shit (like pedophilia)

Well, i'm not really a "loli" but there is a bunch of females like me who looks realy young. I'm 33 with husband and a child, and last week, I opened a door to a worker who was hired for fixing that door AND he asked me if there were my parents at home LOL. It hapens to me often. Honestly the way this video sounds to me is "Im an anime fan who hates anime". As an anime fan myself i have noticed a lot of other "anime fans" seem to be able to very confidently spew their opinions. Ill throw in a gripe of my own though, sometimes the pervert characters they add can get really annoying for me as i dont like simps, I grew to love Jiraya and I like Sanji and Mineta despite this but there are other pervert characters that have pissed me off. One show in particular was Ranma 1/2 with an old man pervert who actually went around stealing underwear regularly. I do get frustrated a bit when the women in anime are so quick to punch one of the characters but for me it translates to liking the women who are confident in their body and that a person accidentally seeing doesnt evoke a violent response. That is teenager shit i would say.

TBH most of these anime troupes don't seem to bother me at all.Well except for the fan service and power of friendship troupe but the thing is with me and these troupes they usually don't bother me unless they add to much fan service💃🤤 that get in the way of the plot or they just have characters talking too much about how their friends give them powers and crap like that.But overall the rest of the troupes are actually fine with me just not the power of friendship.But as for fan-service I don't really mind it if I were to be honest😇

Ok so I feel I need to say a few things in regards to the video. First of all the only time I have an issue with loli is when the character is meant to be a child in the series like anya. When it comes to other characters that cannonly are of age I do not see it as a problem, because lets face it even taking the idea that it is just a drawing out of the equation the guy you are reacting to fails to realize that even irl short stacks exist. Guess the 4ft to 5ft girls I know that are in their 30s should not date simply because they look a little too young. Also Elaine in the seven deadly sins is a fairy which as I am sure people would know are short in general and live a long long time compared to humans. When it comes to telling people your skills yeah I would agree with that. Romance well I feel people do not think that asking people out and all is not as easy as they guy wants you to think it is especially if you was already friends. It can take quite a while for two people to hook up especially if the setting is not exactly ideal for it. Also I feel people are too hard on sakura. Can we for a second actually acknowledge the fact that unlike sasuke and naruto she does not have any special powers like a demon fox or special eyes for which to take advantage of and that out of the series compared to all the other characters including hinata she has done far more than any of them. Like how many of the akatsuki did any of them beat, how many times did any of them save the main character... yeah none of them. If you really want the most useless character in naruto it would probably be ino as she is mostly just discount sakura with mind powers. Next is fanservice which guys lets be honest if you dislike fanservice then shonen anime is not for you. The entire point of shonen anime or should I say the audience of it is teenagers and above and while I can agree that there are times that it is over the top even in there just having it is not an automatic self destruct button.

Shounen… do you guys even know what that means?? It’s for young dudes. That’s the point of it, so they obviously wanna make relatable young male characters for the target audience. Those characters carry all the fights and stuff in the damn show. Of course a really good female character is enjoyable every now and then and it makes for a decent story, but if that isn’t present in a “shounen” anime, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The useless lead female character is a thing because most of the good moments are taken up by the lead male characters. Whenever the female characters pop off that’s just bonus. If you wanna watch something where the female characters are that important, look at anime that don’t have a target audience of 12 year old boy and if you don’t wanna switch up genres so badly then commit to having to look for the rare occasion cause you’re looking in the wrong place
