    I absolutely can't live without a "scribble book". No matter what project i begin, i always have a very cheap blank tiny book besides me, where i can try out stuff, before i decide if i want to use it in my final design or not. I try our spacing as well as some decorative pieces and if it would look good in my final project. This way i don't have to get rid of old little notepads or old sketchbooks i wouldn't use otherwise.

      I love that idea! A scribble book sounds perfect. Because it’s a notebook you don’t care about, you’re free to make mistakes and explore! Thanks for sharing!

    An eraser shield! It helps so so much when you don't want to gerade everything. You can also use it as a stencil or a small ruler.

    I like the laser light for straight lines. That was new to me. I'm thinking my next bullet journal is going to be blank. I really don't like the dots in my final look, and the laser will help me with my new journal.

    • @EnsignInsights
      @EnsignInsights  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ooh yes! I think a laser level would really help with that! I understand wanting the dots for alignment but not wanting them in the final piece!

    Thank you for the video, some really good ideas, I have now ordered the Helix circle maker, as that will be very handy for all aspects of my card making. Love the idea of clear storage, I don't like having to rifle through to find things either, slowly expanding my storage to make things easier to find, as over time we do seem to buy more things. The laser light is a brilliant idea too!

    Less of a priority, but I found that I’ve been using a corner rounding punch very frequently. Also, small boxes for paper scraps and a larger document box for full sheets of paper can help keep things organized. The other really strange thing I use a lot is a small white board to help keep track of projects or plan quick layouts out.
    Also, depending on the style of calligraphy, having a solid, smooth board to hold at an angle can also be very helpful =)
    I use clear boxes for my pens and then have a smaller non-clear bag that I keep in my backpack with a variety of older supplies for being on the go.

    I use washi and frisket a lot, everything that's on your list I use but also I have markers that when they run out I clean them out and use alcohol in them to blend alcohol based markers. I also keep a new men's razor (random I know) but when felt nibs start to fray I have a technique to shave off those frays and make the nib come to a point again

    Do you mention/shout out/boost BIPOC creatives? This DOES NOT include during Black History Month, Latinx Heritage Month and Native Indigenous Heritage Month.
