This dude is legitimately on the grind as always keep up with your motivations Devin we all support you with everything you put out for us on TH-cam and your Merch let’s sit back and enjoy the video guys and girls
For undercoating we are doing 3 steps: 1. Rough derusting via airpressure needle gun. 2. Using some kind of rust converter for example brunox or KLine Rust Stop Primer. 3. For cavities we use dinitrol 1000 and dinitrol ML. You could also use Fluidfilm products. For the undersite use a transparent wax which dries to the touch but staying flexible. Therefore you need to do some research by yourself to find the right product because there is a lot of stuff out there. I don't know what is available in US. But you can take a look for some brands like dinitrol, fluid film, KLine, Elaskon, and so on.... They are making good products.
I had a company protect the chassis/underneath my Evo 6, they used a 2 products by a company called Dinitrol, clear cavity wax and also clear high performance underbody wax, They pressure washed and cleaned all underneath then applied the waxes. It looks as good as new and you can see all the car though it with the protection of the waxes. Evos here in the UK rot/rust badly in the rear ends especially the chassis legs so we have to protect them. Dinitrol was original developed for underneath Aircraft like the 737's and can really take a beating, plus its clear so you will really see the cleaned up parts nicely. Loving the Evo content/videos bro, keep up the awesome work!
For undercoating, I'd recommend any cosmoline product. It leaves a dry, hard wax layer. It's more of a permanent version of fluid film, spray waxes, but is able to last years per application instead of just one year like other oil/wax undercoatings. Only problem is they are hard to get right now due to a global shortage lol. Specific products are CRC Heavy duty corrosion inhibitor, AMSOIL Heavy Duty Metal Protector, or the OG Cosmolime RP-342. Either way, a wax/oil/cosmoline is the way to go, just depends how durable/long lasting you want it to be.
Look into Raptor coatings, you can make it thick or thin it’s a protective spray on used extensively in off road under body, axles, bull bars etc frames even panels and can be relatively low cost, it’s very durable, it’s not like allot of coatings that are rubberised and then create a gap layer for water over time. Just a suggestion, hope we see you samd blast vapor hone allot of those rear end parts and cerakote, like the control arms, do the rear as nice as you did the front, be sick🤙
one of your EVOS need to be painted in the works red colour lol love the rearend refurb and time to replace bushings and bolts etc to start afresh. clean here up and a quick spray here and there
You should go with slotted rotors on all four corners. And possibly look into getting a brake duct kit for the front. The extra cooling on the front rotors is never a bad thing.
Hey dev my 21st birthday was the 11th and was I surprised to see you fly by sounds weird but had a star stuck moment 😂 your a G bro keep up the good content
Yeah i heard dude sprayed the under carriage and rocks flicking up made a perforation to the coating, then water got in and rotted out the chassis rail. Nice. Something clear like an oil type coating might be ok as it is CLEAR.
ive seen Speed Academy use a coating on the SUV they recently got, i think it was a wax type coating that you can get in a black color, it looked really nice
Devin, you should looking into spraying your bolts with Kroil before removing them. You may break less bolts/nuts off. Kroil is an amazing penetrating oil.
Do a industrial machinerie black alk-300 if i remember corectly is durrable and its paint so no worries about traped water. And black look clean under the car.
you should take care of the driver side. i saw some rust on the frame where the subframe mounts up too. its common problem that noone talks about. it rusts out the frame bad.
as far as undercoating i would just use something like fluid film or another oil based coating as rubberized one rusts out the car without you knowing when water gets trapped in between it
I’ve heard from my dad (who has an e92) that BMW does an ecu trick when installing a new battery to make it charge differently based on the battery’s time in service. Do you know about this, or have any opinion of this?
But why does the subframe need to come out? All I needed on my rear end was the inner lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushing and solid diff bushings and it was all tight besides that.
I did the underbody of mine with the tar based underbody. It was such a dirty dirty job and I got the shit all over me but it looks mint now and I'm happy it's protected.
Yeah that would be a sad sight to see! Lol saw a video of a mechanic that had that happen. He was hanging from the car to keep if from falling off till someone saw and came to help lol he got lucky! Most don’t!

Your channel is the reason I just bought an EVO to go with my modified WRX.....
Keep up the good work man....respect
Rubberized undercoating traps water, oil based coatings are much safer and best bet!
Also great for swelling rubber hoses.
Wish I read this before I rubberized undercoated mine💀😭
Nailed it
Can we get some videos of the public reacting to your cars while you drive or park in populated areas? Those are rewarding as hell to watch.

Please do an outside view video with the M3 with accelerations and revs. 🙏🏼
Yes and under the hood it felt like I was playing for a but like obviously not playin just the sequence of the video was sick
Love the sound of that m3 ,wish the 2 x M3's in my street sounded as awesome as yours bro. Well done from Australia 🇦🇺, keep up the good content

Looking good !!!
Can't wait for the new Evo build montage
Yes you should turn up the boost… I want to hear the supercharger wind up
You should get the underside sprayed with a bedliner like linex or a diy solution like raptor liner
i use POR-15 to paint underside of body since its a anti rust etch primer, primer and paint then I used rhino box liner for that extra protection..
You should go with slotted rotors on all four corners. And possibly look into getting a brake duct kit for the front. The extra cooling on the front rotors is never a bad thing.
Nice work!
Can't wait for the work on the Evo.😁
That’s a good move to replace the Back End… Get that straight 🔥💯👌🏽
Clean the underside and spray it with POR15 it6a great sealer and pretty resistant
Hey dev my 21st birthday was the 11th and was I surprised to see you fly by sounds weird but had a star stuck moment 😂 your a G bro keep up the good content

Best oil for transmission, transfer case and differential for evo 8?
Recommend POR-15 works great lasts for years and there is no way for it to trap water
ive seen Speed Academy use a coating on the SUV they recently got, i think it was a wax type coating that you can get in a black color, it looked really nice
The battery was fine before you installed the boost gauge. Check your connections for phantom draw.
Cavity wax is best option for underneath it’s see through only a thin layer and repels water better than undercoat.
While its tear down got yourself set of strongflex or powerflex bushings for it. Worth it....
Devin, you should looking into spraying your bolts with Kroil before removing them. You may break less bolts/nuts off. Kroil is an amazing penetrating oil.
Dry ice blast that undercarriage 🌪️
Check out Raptor Liner. You can get it on Amazon and it comes with a spray gun. It is also tintable
RK ti makes really nice exhausts, should look into that 👍🏼
coolest build/sick mods on hyper blue 8 👍😬
That M is sooo dope!
There are Tomei exhausts available here in Australia from a few places. Maybe one of them will ship to you?
Do a industrial machinerie black alk-300 if i remember corectly is durrable and its paint so no worries about traped water. And black look clean under the car.
Use a bedliner for the undercoating
Thumbnail cars are so beautiful bro
Can’t wait for that tomei on the evo
Put a deadman jack on front subframe so front end has support since there is no weight on rear of car. You don’t want that thing rocking off the lift
what wheels and specs on the evo? i love that thing!!!! thanks
That's cool. Easy fix. No money needed.
you should take care of the driver side. i saw some rust on the frame where the subframe mounts up too. its common problem that noone talks about. it rusts out the frame bad.
Love your video man keep it up:)
Love ur content bro. Quick question looking for metal colored lug nuts for my wheels is there any that u can recommend and where can I get them?
So clean up your area repaint it and then use fluid film on the underneath of your car. Make sure it's well dry before doing it.
U pol raptor tintable for the under side thats what im planning on my gf8 sti build tinted to the same colour as the car.
Der M3 und E92 ist ein schönes Auto ✌️✌️
😁 that’s how I feel riding In the M with you
Yes I agree look after your car treat it right and it will take care of you
as far as undercoating i would just use something like fluid film or another oil based coating as rubberized one rusts out the car without you knowing when water gets trapped in between it
I’ve heard from my dad (who has an e92) that BMW does an ecu trick when installing a new battery to make it charge differently based on the battery’s time in service.
Do you know about this, or have any opinion of this?
Yeah I'm happy for you. You work hard. Bro👌👌 i.i
Love the vids man
Devin, checkout Amsoil’s Heavy Duty Metal Protector. It’s an oil based coating and I’ve heard amazing things about it.
Some catching runs content please 🔥
When are the wheels for the bimmer comin?
Rtd shifter for the m3 next!!
Was good my boi
So, MUSK widebody fenders on my Poland? 😁👌🎸
But why does the subframe need to come out? All I needed on my rear end was the inner lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushing and solid diff bushings and it was all tight besides that.
Because he wants to clean them all up
Because he wants to make sure to check and replace everything while he’s down there so he knows it’s all good to go.
You should go at a show of hoonigan with one of your car
Tomei exhaust stainless or titanium, I can get it but too bad I’m in Japan.
I do the same with my Evo. It treats me good so I treat it good. I even talk to it when I’m stoned 🤷🏻♂️.
Have you thought about dry ice blasting ???
Is there a bolt in kit that will let you get fatter wheels under there without going wide body? Would look sick
You're not alone papi, I treat my cars good thinking they'll treat me back the same way 😅
Paint the disk shield of the brakes pleaseeee
I did the underbody of mine with the tar based underbody. It was such a dirty dirty job and I got the shit all over me but it looks mint now and I'm happy it's protected.
The speed academy guys did the underbody of their evo6.
@devin when is the get coming we waiting for that :(
Gotta be careful pulling that much weight off of one end of the vehicle! Don’t want it to flip forward!
Yeah that would be a sad sight to see! Lol saw a video of a mechanic that had that happen. He was hanging from the car to keep if from falling off till someone saw and came to help lol he got lucky! Most don’t!
That M3 dashboard has got more flashing lights than a christmas tree 🤣
Standar when bad battery
You need a supra in your garage
MK4 Supra though
Heyy bro you can teach me how to install d2 racing suspension coilovers plzz bro its a bit complicated
Aye!! 🤘🏽
POR10 the underside. You will be very happy with the results. Years and years of protection.
Your dam right!!!
Let's fill up the shop with some tyre smoke with the M3 😉
I want to do the nose chop so bad but it's so intimidating
U should wide body the black Evo since u almost build all of the them like the same
fuck it must be so good to have this much mechanical knowledge
Maperformance sells tomei’s btw
For evo 8/9
Spray the underside with fluid film to keep it from rusting. You’ll never get rust under it. Buy a press. Make your life easy
just do frame paint its original and makes it look new again its just a brush on
you need a skyline r34 in your garage
Same thing with me
Get a bolt buster as Paul from @boostedfilms did on his rusty evo project.
Thank you for acknowledging that the issues you were having with your BMW were because of you... not the car :)
Fluid film
Cash out on the evo 8 and get something rhd or put that towards a GTR.
Music 0:50 ???
أنت عبقرى فى السيارات
you need to double check everything after finishing and get a battery sponsor lol top level batteries not discount store cheapest
👍
Lets gooo
Fluid film for undercoatingg
Waiting for evo 9 content
🤙🏻🔰
POR 15
Wasn't this the car that started out as the "budget build"?
You can't not do the underside properly. Strip, clean, remove any rust areas, treat, prime ,paint, clearcoat. Then ceramic seal it.
Get new wheels for the M
