Tampere Walk: Kaleva ja Tammela areas, September 2021, Finland.
Kaleva is an eastern part of the city and it is part of larger Sampo district. Tammela district was born since the 1870s as a working-class neighbourhood, today it is especially popular among the students of the nearby Tampere University. Tammela was almost completely destroyed in the 1918 Finnish Civil War Battle of Tampere and also severely damaged in the air raids of World War II. Some wooden houses from the early 1900s have remained in the so-called Puu-Tammela area in the eastern side of the district.

It is great to see more from Tampere! Moomin museum is besides Sorsapuisto. In 9:22 I can see that is 16 degrees - not bad for september:)) And besides Emil Aaltonen puisto is the first cat cafe in Finland(I have to visit it)! I enjoyed watching this walk in my favourite Tampere!

Thanks! I actually just visited Moomin museum (Muumimuseo) before the begin of the walk :) It was fairly warm day though cloudy.
