I was reading...Kate Bush actually wrote this at age 13 and recorded her studio recording at age 16, 2 years before it was included on her first LP "The Kick Inside"
This made me so happy because Dusty is my number one and Kate is my next favourite female solo artist. I never even realised that Dusty liked her so this has made my day! :D
This is gorgeous. Kate is my favourite female artist, but I do love Dusty and her version of TMWTCIHE is very beautiful. Thanks so much for uploading it x
Hmmmm - interesting - Dusty commenting on post punk and being a fan of Kate Bush - Dusty always kept her finger on the pulse. However - as great as the vocal is - it definitely is a proto type with a lot of work required on the arrangement & balancing the key. Evidently this didn't transpire - more's the pity.

Our greatest female singer meets our greatest female songwriter. Amazing.

Of the cover versions I've heard of this song, this one does the original the most justice. Dusty was the high priestess of blue-eyed soul.
Wow, amazing cover. Dusty and Kate are so different as artists. So wonderful that artists are inspired by each other. ❣
Even though Dusty has lost some of her vocal prowess at this point this is still rather phenomenal! Two of England's greatest talents! Thank you!
this needs to be released , Jeff Lyn needs to produce it.

What a treasure. This is just a wonderful song even 40years on (Ouch. Where did those years go?) And Dusty had such a beautiful voice.
It's always lovely to hear another song I've never heard Dusty sing before. Thank you for this.

Lovely. Different to the original and less vulnerable and childlike but still beautiful.

someone produce this to a single ...Jeff Lyn please its fab and what a great vocal from Dusty.
To produce a single? But its a Kate Bush song, this song is on her album "The kick inside", and its far far better than this version from Dusty.....
I know sweetheart I have the original from when it was first released.I just love Dusty singing it to.
How are they gonna produce it as a single? Dusty is dead and she only ever sang it in these concerts, never in a studio.
the man with the child in his eyes
Love this song but here it sounds too slow for me.
Oh this is the copy I have. How was there 2 versions? 2 shows?
