I think it’s a waste of money to place the door there when someone can just walk around to that side. Or put a sliding door the the bedroom if space permits it and sit and relax.
There's so much wrong with this design. When the bedroom or bathroom seems larger than the living room area. To me that's not good. Most people spend more time in the living room and kitchen. Than they do sleeping or bathing. Take the wasted little porch area on the side of the house out. Extend the living room out to the width of the bedroom. Move wall back to enlarge the living room. Maybe equal to the kitchen. Add french doors or remove the door completely in the living room. Landscape the outside to accommodate the use of the doors.

Lovely and I’ve checked many of them. I think an add on carport could be added making the escape door very functional.
Love the front porch, 2 doors to outside and especially those big, gorgeous windows in the bedroom and living area that can be opened.
