    Johann Staller, Vienna
    company history
The Johann Staller company was founded in 1870 and was first mentioned in the Vienna address book in 1872. 1) The business directory listed him as a fitter for binder tools at Grünstrasse 34.
In the following years the address changed to Hornbostelgasse 8 (1873), Rosaliagasse 21 (1874-76) and finally Miesbachgasse 38 (from 1878). In 1894 Miesbachgasse was renamed Vivenotgasse. At this point, house number 38 also changed to 42. When Johann Staller died in 1901, his widow Josefa continued the business.
On January 1, 1911, the sons Karl, Josef, Johann and Franz founded the tool shop Staller's Johann Söhne. The company was also included in the last "Lehmann" from 1942.

Nice piece of work sir, I like the fact you leave the character marks, dings and dents in place, to me it honors its past. Thanks for the video, enjoyed it.

You are speaking to me from the heart, all those dents and holes are the history that someone worked with that tool before.

Had not heard of that type of hammer until now so well done in that respect.
A couple of observations/suggestions - the ring itself shown signs of fracturing. It should have been addressed as it will at some point fail at this point. Second, and minor thing, I am assuming that you are using boiled linseed oil on the wood. Use a cloth instead of kitchen roll. If stored in a zip sandwich type bag it retains whatever oil was not used up on the previous oiling and prevents multiple sheets of singular usage kitchen roll being used (no I am not a 'how dare you' creature but it seems wasteful and counter productive). Plus side I thought it was a decent video.

Thanks for the advice, but it's paper that I then use to start a fire, so from my point of view it's not a waste and the hammer is only a decorative accessory, thank you for looking.
