- Windows Movie Maker made the level look weird. I finally reached a 200000 score. That and beating a level where the power pellet stops working with no death, was my goal in this game. I didn't beat any of the no power pellet levels without dying in the video though, but I have done it before. I paused in the video, because Bandicam can only record up to ten minutes, so I was paying attention to the timer, while playing. There's a lot of differences between this flash version and the real Pacman arcade game.
1. You can hold up to five lives and you will keep gaining another one, for every 20000 score. It takes four keys to gain an extra life. You're gonna want that to keep appearing.
2. Fruits can appear more than two times and they appear at random or never. There are times when you beat a level and the fruit didn't show up.
3. You and the ghost move at the same speed when you're eating pellets.
4. Ghosts will not slow down in the tunnel, that takes you to the other side.
5. After being eaten, ghosts will leave the ghost house faster than the arcade version.
6. Blinky never speeds up.
7. Ghosts move at random and have no patterns.
8. The Galaxian was replaced by a banana.
9. There's no scatter mode so ghosts will never turn around.
10. Pacman can't make sharp turns. Turning slows him down instead.
11. The power pellet will stop working on level 16 instead of 21.

I'm looking for an old pacman game that had spiders and a gate on the first level, then sharks at an ocean on the second level, then I think it was busses. You play each level twice. does anyone know the name of this game or how I can play it now? Thank you.

I love Flash Pac-Man! I would play this game on the internet for days on end. The only complaint that I have with this game is that the ghost's movement patterns are messed up.

No it's different This one is harder than the original. All the ghosts have RNG so you don't know what path they will take. Sometimes they will spare your life when it looks like you're about to get cornered. The fruits have RNG too.

You know what Pac stands for? PAC. Program and Control. He’s Program and Control Man. The whole thing’s a metaphor. All he can do is consume. He’s pursued by demons that are probably just in his own head. And even if he does manage to escape by slipping out one side of the maze, what happens? He comes right back in the other side. People think it’s a happy game. It’s not a happy game. It’s a fucking nightmare world. And the worst thing is? It’s real and we live in it.

You got much further then I ever did. I never got past the second level. Yet the website did consider me as a high scorer. I did not submit my name. It is recommended for those with learning disabilities to play Pac-Man. That is why I played it. My mother even gave it a try. She didn’t do too well,. My father said. “I have seen three years olds do better than that.”

The 4 areas were ghosts can normally only go down in the arcade version were also altered so they could go up them at any time.
This kid probably grown up and have a lots of works to do. What a successful life.

I used a keyboard. Keyboard isn't hard to play Pacman with.

This is a surprisingly good version of PAC-MAN.
The ghosts are MUCH more aggressive in the flash version
Little story
The ghosts are police and they chase Pac-Man because he is over the speed limit. Every time Pac-Man eats a super pellet, he goes fast and crashes into a police, breaking their car. They then run to the mechanic and fix their car.

pac man taught me about innercity social distancing
16:50 is a common glitch for me also with the orange ghost close to getting a power pill. This score is my average and top score 345k. Same version and also use arrow keys.
That's not a glitch. I just tried to quickly grab the pellet and make a quick turn around but didn't move far enough to get it.
@@LuisParson yes, but it happens repeatedly with me and only with the orange ghost. It's like it has a slightly bigger range to capture. I therefore hit the power pack sooner if it's close by. Was interesting watching the way you play. We do a lot of similar things, but I'm more aggressive on the ghosts. I look to get all of them first few rounds and then make sure I'm averaging at least 13000 per round overall, i.e. 65000 after 5 rounds, 78000 after 6, etc. You were below 12000 average after only 3 rounds.
@@LuisParson also noticed you weren't strategising the free pacman every 20,000. i.e. if you have the max 4 at 85,000 take more chances. If you lose a pacman at that stage you'll get it back at 90,000 anyway. Can't go to 5 spare lives.
@@powerplay.556 It's an RNG game. The fruit will not always appear fast and sometimes the ghost will block the area around it.

It isn't coded the same deep down as the original (monster behavior, patterns, etc.), so Pacman purists like me were quickly unhappy with it.

I can make an extra life just before losing my only one life. I have one life and one thing to do, is get ten thousand points before giving up. At 20,000 I never make an extra life. I gave up at level 3.

They’re monsters, not ghosts, but amazing score considering the monsters don’t act the way they do in the arcade version.

Hi, I also have this weird pacman addiction and I'm trying to write an AI for a pacman-agent. I was always intrigued by the way of movement of the ghosts. It always seemed you could trick the ghost into following your direction, but then sometimes did the opposite, so you could not trust it.
Now I've decompiled the flash code, I found out how the decision making process was programmed.
-In 2/3 of the cases it will pick the best move to go after you either in the X or Y direction, X or Y is chosen randomly. So if pacman is bottom left compared to the ghost, it might go left or down, each 50%.
-In 1/3 of the cases, the ghost will pick a random direction it can go.
And I totally don't get your point 6. That the red ghost (blinky) will never speed up?
In the original pac-man blinky will chase you, if you are going in a straight line after a while blinky will speed up to catch you.
