Being an Englishman, I was a bit gutted at how easily you destroyed GB in the gold medal final, but then I heard later that it was your country's first ever olympic gold medal - so I stopped being sad and was just happy for you guys instead. Congratulations and I hope this is just the first of many more for you.

I would share this country glory within the commonwealth, especially with neighbors Tonga and Samoa - both have proved themselves already before ...and thanks for the acknowledgment ...also, I am thankful for GB medal standing

In a class of their own. Especially in that final. You could see they practiced avoiding the breakdown. A very clear plan. Styled to the strengths of the Fijians. Executed perfectly. Well done and congratulations Fiji!

Fiji is unstoppable when they play to their full potential. Double 'back to back' World Series Champion and top up by their Gold Olympic medal (icing on the cake). It's just great to watch this team, they're unbelievable.

this is the fijian way of rugby 7s at its best, we have seen serevi, delasau and even ryder during those recent years, still not consistent enough to back to back titles but coach ryan brought structure and discipline to fiji 7s and implement in the team but at the same time without interrupting their flair and fiji style of offense..never seen play with so much confidence and personality before, the rio 7s really brought the best out of the boys. they showed courage and take on some of the worlds great 7s country and to wih gold is just absolutely awesome well done ben ryan and thank u for your service

Ben Ryan the only coach that unlocked the gift Fiji had within themselves, wasn't for him we'd still be chasing shadows.

As a māori I have an All Black bias
But one night a Fijian woman tackled me in the apple orchard and she plucked me and gave me a half māori half Fijian son
So I’m forever a super fan of both teams.
My sons name is Jericho. We call him Jerry.
My son grew up … he loves chess bahahaha

Nothing is impossible through GOD... these players not only have skills but it is through the Almighty Father that protected them and guided them in anything that they went through.. lol we Fijians not live rugby we also love our God who is in heaven and that is why we are not ashame to glorify him in whatever we do or wherever we are.. win or lose we love god and we all know that God heard our prayers... Faith without work is nothing.

Banning distraction such as media whether it be Facebook , twitter , newspapers was a good thing , In this day & age with social media so freely accessible everyone think that they are experts....sports used to be even more better without it..players came out & gave their best without any distractions..but now with all this abuse it has brought out the bad in people but i guess it depends on how people actually used it though....

...what's best - Fiji Sevens Rugby just edged New Zealand Sevens Rugby by taking the first Olympic Games rugby sevens sport to win gold in Rio; though New Zealand holds the rugby union sevens rugby record but I feel its appropriate now with my hometeam winning the IRB7series a few times, twice held the Melrose cup... "and NOW an Olympic gold medal". Full credit to the players of 22 for their efficient effort to maintain the platform of competition within ...and thanks to Fiji Rugby Union for selecting a fine coach in (Lord) Ben Ryan.

If any team would ever want to come close to outplaying Fiji in sevens, then they would do well to go to a judo dojo and learn first and foremost the art of BALANCE.

Fiji would have won Gold without Ben Ryan. ... Ben was getting clobbered by Fiji when he was coach of England. ... He really didn't bring Anything to Fiji Rugby other than the Colonial agenda of a British man coached a Fiji team to Gold.

  • @Trajan2401
    @Trajan2401 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Fiji are lucky that New Zealand dont take 7s seriously.New Zealand would dominate if they chose there best players.100-200 of New Zealands best players arent even there and there 7s team is made up of scraps, the best of the rest.Im pissed off at the NZRU for not allowing our top players to play.

Mirex Raciri, the Fijian side in the 90s were better than this current side but we still beat them most of the time because then we could choose anyone and thats why we dominated 7s.Do i prove my point or are you still in denial.Fiji couldnt beat us much when we could choose anyone,i rest my case.

    • @mirexraciri8697

we just show you how 7s is play in Hamilton . without a fijian born in Your team you are nothing..
