You’re an instinctive educator! I would literally watch you teach me how to watch paint dry! This is an amazing video…so clear, so helpful, and absolutely on point!
This is the online eyebrow tutorial that has explained both technical and aesthetic aspect of doing your own eye brows, especially where to have an arch- I never knew! Miss Desai knows what she’s doing . Thanks a lot! I have two caterpillars to work on now . 🙏🏽
I tried this, and it worked better than any other method I have ever tried! My eyebrows were a mess before I found this and all my friends are asking me my "secret". I totally recommend it.
I have threaded my eye brows for the first time watching your previous video and I was very astonished with the result. Thank you a bunch, you're the best Ami :) keep up.
Ami I watched your threading videos multiple times and also the one on Mixed Makeup and now I have learnt it like a pro, did mine and my Mom's too during this quarantine. Thank you for saving our lives 💗💋
I find the thread cuts into my fingers quite a bit. Not breaking the skin or anything but after just a minute my skin is red and sore where the thread sits/rubs.
no-one in the town where I live now does threading that I've been able to find. I think i"ll practice with my upper lip first. once I get the technique down on my lips, I may try just overall shaping of my brows. I've waxed my brows and lips for a while but not entirely thrilled with my results every time. Thank you for sharing this.
omg i was on a video you made about threading in 2019 and i checked out your channel and saw this a LIFESAVER for my incredibly thick brows!! thank you
thank you for the tutorial i have really dark hair bc im mixed and i have always been insecure abt it. i used to wax but i really hurts me and i heard that threading is better especially for people with acne which i also deal with. i watched the tutorial and after i got the hand motions down it started to work really well 💖
I’m 25 going on 26. I’ve spent more time waxing, but I recently switched to threading, and I actually like it more, even if it’s a bit of an adjustment. This is a nice tutorial, but I can’t use my right hand well due to a disability, so I just went to my local salon to get my brows, chin, and upper lip threaded. There’s no such thing as painless threading. You get used to it a bit more, but it still hurts because they’re pulling hair from the root. My eyes started watering when the esthetician at the salon threaded my upper lip because the skin is sensitive there. I haven’t noticed any bleeding or bumps from it, so I think they did a good job. It is a really good result, though, and it’s less red afterwards. BTW, you’re skin looks amazing for 38!
If you remove the eyebrow with the wrong thread, it will be a disaster, of course, it is better if a beautician does it beforehand, then we will fix it with the thread like you. Thank you beautiful lady!
I thought the video was very informative. Amy Desai really emphasizes on technique covering all areas of face especially eyebrows. I really love this tutorial. I believe I can do this.
I tried this today from your first video and thank you so much for these videos!! I did my upper lip, chin and eyebrows for the first time and I'm so happy with the turn out!! I feel accomplished lol.
Thanks so so so much , it really got my brain going. I have just always been a person that need hair removal on face frequently and usually usually upper lip and chin. I’m so gonna give this a try I know I’m 2 yrs late but hey never too late to self care …thanks so much
Thank for this! I really needed this. I watched all your threading videos about 3x and I did it! :) I used regular thread and loose powder as I did not want to buy much! :)
Thank you for this tutorial! I discovered this detailed and great video through TH-cam search for eyebrows and I am glad I found it. I am going to try it right away and also going to share with my little sister who has started doing her brows at home. Much love 🤩💟
I tore a holes in my skin at first time trying. Be careful girls, with gentle skin under eyebrow, make sure skin is not inside the threads! But Im proud of that I managed actually to pull out hairs in first time, although sad of damaged skin! Hopefull will heal fast :) Good luck! Thanks for video!
There is an easy threading tool you can find it in webshops if you search by threading tool. However I tried it and it worked pretty well very easy but..the tool works by two nylon threads rolling against eachother so your skin being squeezed and I think I got bumps on my skin, my forehead so I won't use it again I don't want to create loose skin or wrinkles there. I guess I will have to go to the hairdresser again to let them do it perfectly.
She mentioned that she usually has to start over with a new piece of thread when she switches areas because the thread will wear out. So this sounds normal. Just cut a new piece and start fresh.
Hi Amy , I am not able do the left eyebrows as I am not comfortable going in the opposite direction of hair growth . Can you please suggest some tip or is it just practice ? Thank you
Actually didn't find it hard surprisingly 😊😊 I favour one brow too but I finally got my struggle brow the same shape it just needs to grow thicker😅 thanks hun I also did my hairs at the side of my face I got carried away I'm looking fresh af rn🤣🤣💕💕💕💕💕💕
Use all the four fingers and bigger loop instead of using only two or three ! The bigger the loop and the faster the moves, it prevents cutting both face skin as well as finger skin
I am having the hardest time on how to hold the thread. I get where the fingers need to be, but it's too loose and I can't get a repetitive motion.. I've tried making it tighter and looser, doesn't work.
I have been threading for a year now and all of a sudden I'm starting to get hyperpigmentation around my mouth. I feel this is so embarrassing now i can't go out without makeup. Are there any ways i can prep skin to prevent hyperpigmentation?
Do your fingers not get friction burns after a while of threading? The skin on my fingers in contact with the thread always gets swollen and painful after threading for maybe 2 mins 😭
With threading you also stretch your skin and even worse, the only diferente in between the wax and threading is that wax exfoliate your skin and threading don’t . 😊😊
Mamtha Hariharan do you have to put aloe vera gel right away or can you do it a day later. Currently don’t have it but plan on buying it. Also, does it matter if its 100% aloe vera gel or can you use any products that have aloe vera in it?
@@sammies2603 you can opt for baby oil, normal olive oil, moisturizer, ice, aloe vera gel any product that suits you better. Since it's a sensitive ares of the skin, preferred one generally is Aloe vera gel !
The pulling is the same regardless of how you rip the hair from the follicle. It's the pulling the skin taught that does it, not the actual removal. For instance, the facial movements you made were stretching the skin......hence the tightening. Skin care, genetics, health, hydration, and technique play a role too. I'd be more worried about scar tissue and infection if you're cutting yourself than I would be about waxing wrinkles. I have no doubt an esthetician told you otherwise but that wasn't a comment based on science. I liked the video overall, it just seems like you'd want to provide accurate information. Otherwise I would have remained silent.
i talk about this in the video..it's very hard to do it on yourself because you need someone to hold your skin taut but you can try. I just don't thread there in general.
The Aesthetician that told you that waxing ages you is incorrect. There is no difference between waxing and threading aside from the process and the amount of time to do it.
After accidentally slipped a brush full of wax through my right side eyelashes while waxing my right side eyebrow 😶 this method is not a joke. I had a second chance in the beauty universe to make changes and be extra careful next time. I applied wax removal oil right away and carefully remove the wax...everything was so fast and thanks God I saved my leashes 🤕😖 That was not fun at all.
Do you think threading eventually can slow down the growth of hair? In areas that you might thread for that reason? Like I get my chin threaded because in Hope's it will slow down the growth.
Threading tutorial starts by 6:55
You're welcome 😊
time saver right here
🤣🙏🏽

for real though...... thx
Thank you! 😌🥰✨

Who's teaching themselves to thread their brows during the quarantine?

It me

I did mine today first time properly. I feel so chuffed. I don't think I am going back to the parlours for threading after the lockdown x

Omg Mila “I’m gonna tell mom that I don’t wanna go to sleep” Hahahaha love her
Sneha Mehta I totally forgot to mute some parts 🙈🤣
Omg that was so sweet!
Way harder than it looks. I cannot get the thread to grab hair & move with ease.
Please, this video is about how to thread away hair. But the first image of thread is @8:45. Please.

I should say its a great video, very helpful and it seems to work except for the sore finger issue
try putting a band-aid on your fingers that helped me

How about if someone doesn't see good needs to wear a glass to see then how would she do the threading.
You helped me learn threading with all your tips and theories, thank you very much ami❤️
Brows are so so important and I cant find any salon able to do it to my choice.. thanks for the DIY tutorial
This is so helpful and the best video on threading. Thank you!
Very informative Ami 👍👍👍I have seen heaps of videos but I love your simple instructions. 👌👌👌
What color//brand of lip stick are you wearing in the tutorial? It’s so light and pretty.
What a time to upload this 😂 thanks for the tips!
This is great. Can you use any thread (e.g. sewing thread) or is there a specific kind?
You are a genius your video should be on the product page the description manual sucks thank you little angel😂

been doing this since 2015
Learned lot by watching your video.
I’m somehow unable to make those finger movements effectively. It’s frustrating 😁

I know I will never do threading by myself but it's nice to get some tips to protect my skin before n after the threading process..
Thank you for the detailed instructions. Never thought I’d be able to do my own threading!
Hey ami! My thread keeps breaking/snapping! Do you have any tips to avoid that or any suggestions as to why it might be happening??
She mentioned that she usually has to start over with a new piece of thread when she switches areas because the thread will wear out. So this sounds normal. Just cut a new piece and start fresh.
Your brows are so fierce 🔥❤
Would corn starch be a good alternative for baby powder? I really can't mess with talcum powder.

How do you prevent the thread from cutting in your fingers
This is a good question
Use all the four fingers and bigger loop instead of using only two or three !
The bigger the loop and the faster the moves, it prevents cutting both face skin as well as finger skin
@@mikshac4909 Thank you
Band aids! Put then where it’s digging in and it stops it from digging in.
Watching your tutorials helped me!!! Now I’m able to thread my own brows!!! 🥰🥰. Thank you!!
i originally came here to see how to hold the thread, but this was helphul
Idk whether my hand is paining more or my brows area😩😤
@Ami Desai Would you recommend this same kind of thread for fine hair as well?
Gonna try this on my hairy-ass brother.
Do you recommend doing this on the cheeks??
What foundation and concealer do you use (and shade)? You're skin look flawless
I have mercerized cotton from Egypt, is that the same thing? It's 100% cotton
so did megan good really tattoo her eyebrows or did she get them micro bladed before we knew what micro blading was 😭🤔
I did my first proper threading today and I am so chuffed. Thanks hunny x
We have another solution :) beautybrowstore.com/products/beauty-brows-electric-eyebrow-trimmer
Does it matter which thread you buy? I’ve been trying this over and over again but have not been pulling hair..
Learning to thread my wife ..I have to grow my beard to maintain the difference during shutdown
Nice! Now I know how it works! And btw, you are so cute 🙈
I tried this and the thread doesn't remove hair. What am I doing wrong? It just guides over the hair.
I am having the hardest time on how to hold the thread. I get where the fingers need to be, but it's too loose and I can't get a repetitive motion.. I've tried making it tighter and looser, doesn't work.
Great tutorial...I just got certified in it yet still don't know how to get the technique down 🤣I'll keep practicing on my leg🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣
Omg same
Ok, so how do I know which direction the hair grows? Thanks
Thank you for stressing "keep trying". I got really distracted the first 10 times but I got the hang of it on Day 1 👏🏾 Thanks for this ☺️
is it ok if i took a normal sewing thread and sprayed antibacterial spray over it first and let it dry?))
i tried learning but my fingers start hurting ,what you do then ?
I wana learn how to do this since it’s soo freaking expensive now and most of the time they don’t get it right 😢
It looks so easy. But I'll give it a shot and see what happens
followed this video and it helped me so much thankl you!

Hi I’m shabu what colour do you use on your gray hair pls tell me it’s really means a lot replay me
some people say don't touch it when you finish or else you will get pimples is it true
It is literally just sliding across my upper lip. I have been practicing so much and i can only thread one hair at a time like im using a tweezer. :(
with that beautiful face ,she doesnt look like she's that old. I was shocked when I heard what's her age.
Tasniah Jamal well thank you! 😌❤️

Pain tolerance i think
