2024 Palm Sunday Afternoon and I was in the Spirit last night and I was studying the Bible last night while listening to praise and worship music in my Bed and all of a sudden the Spirit of God had me in tears knowing that I am his Servant and knowing that the Relationship between me and my unsaved fiancee Vanessa Mariah Villarreal of Abilene Texas are through and the relationship between us is over and I finally let God step in and he said Son I have something better for you hold on to your Faith and don't back down from your Faith last time she took you from my presence because of your desire to be with her ultimately I relapsed last year and it broke my connection with God and I figured out that I needed him back in my life and I surrendered all to my God and my connection has been restored back to him

Thank you Bethesda World Healing: A great tempest has been coming against me and I was getting discouraged, GOD used you to remind us not to give up. Dear Bethesda World Healing Deliverance C... : I mean you no ill-will nor disrespect. Yet, I must point out that our mind has NO power in and of itself to overcome any evil or ungodliness.
It is only because we are born again by God's Holy Spirit, that we are changed [to a spiritual man] and can then fully rely on GOD'S POWER to make us holy; and to make us overcomers in Christ.
That's the Spirit-filled, Spirit-led life. Outside of Jesus Christ there is nothing good in us.
"For we are the circumcision, which worship God IN THE SPIRIT, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh" (Phil. 3:3).
You rightly said that we overcome by the Blood of Jesus and the Word (Rev 12:11) ... and the renewing of our minds.
11 "And they overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Rev. 12:11).
HOWEVER... such power to overcome and to be holy comes from renewing THE SPIRIT OF OUR MIND, Paul the Apostle said.
23 "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind" (Ephes. 4:23).
We also overcome by submitting to God FIRST. Then in so doing, He gives us power in our spirit-man to resist the devil. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7, part of which you quoted).
Equally, we overcome by OUR FAITH. Therein lies our victory.
"4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 4:4).
Many followers of Jesus Christ have not yet renounced the works of their flesh honestly before God. They still rely on their flesh to live the christian life and navigate life on earth, making no preparation for holy living NOW and in the new heavens and earth to come.
In these last days, where death is all around us, and the times point to the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is crucial that we speak truth carefully. Men must know that being born again means a total surrender to the Spirit of Jesus Christ (the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost). And thereafter, following the Lord's commands not by might, nor power, nor human will, nor flesh. But totally yielding ourselves to the power of the Spirit of Almighty God (Zech 4:6 and Romans 9:16*).
Jesus Christ is central to all things that pertains to holiness and abundant life, and His Spirit is the Only One that can manifest these things in us.
Blessings to you in Christ Jesus our Lord and soon coming King of kings!
* Zechariah 4:6... "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."
