Gohan had the worst life.He watched his father die,was kidnapped and abused as a 5 year old to become strong enough to face the biggest threat to earth yet, was beat up for hours, watched many people die in the process, traveled in outer space, to be hiding in a corner seeing as the much stronger people everywhere around him. Getting his neck broken, having to fight his father's body, almost having his skull smashed, watching Piccolo, his trainer, get tortured, then watching a small child he rescued die. Then watching his father get beat close to death, being helpless to do anything, watching the one person who survived almost everything with him get blown to pieces, having his dad, for the first time, threaten him. He then struggled to escape an exploding planet, and returned home for his father not to do the same for a year in time. Not being able to say goodbye to his dying father, and then having all of his friends die to these deadly androids, only to train a young kid, run away, and share the same fate as his friends. Gohan's life seems a little worse than " I never met my dad. I was born in this world, so I know nothing better. Unlike other people, my mother is a survivor, so I don't have to die so quickly, like other people. Also, I'm a saiyan, and had to watch my best friend die."

Even in BT3 they don't move, it's very rare.
If they do, they just move all the way to the side, using up room needlessly.
