I’d like to thank Sh Yasir Qadhi and his team for their amazing contribution. I’ve learned so much about the prophet(SAAS) and the sabah from these lectures which in turn have increased my love for the prophet(SAAS). I urge everyone who is benefitting from these videos to pray for Yasir Qadhi that he will be successful in this and the Next world. Amin
Beautiful series mashAllah. I went through companions of the prophet series by Dr. Shykh Yasir Qashi and now following Mothers of the Believers Alhamdulillah. The way you teach helps with remember the names and events very clearly MashAllah. There is one more thing i wanted to highlight is that the sunni shia discussion and comparisons are very common in your lectures and those who aren't really looking for such info can sometimes feel overwhelmed. Not saying to discourage anyone here but sometimes I personally want to focus on sunni version and not wanting to know in detail about the opinions raised by the several different groups. InshAllah. I hope some homework can be done to reduce the content to sunni specific talks. InshAllah e khair. Though i understand knowing what fitna is going around us helps a lot in keeping us on track but it has to be not dealt in such a details and doesn't have to be only shia specific. That's my 2 cents :) please. JazakAllah for uploading such rich uncoated information. May Allah increase us all in deen and duniya Ameen.
According to islamqa a hadeeth attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) (marfoo’): “Any woman whose husband dies and she marries someone else after him, she will be with the last of her husbands.” This was classed as saheeh by Al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) in Saheeh Al-Jaami’, 2704, and in Al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1281.
Even if a woman’s husband dies, that does not negate their Nikah. That’s why it is allowed for a man to give ghusul to his wife and vice versa. A widow is different than a divorcee. Maybe the man who is was the better husband? Or maybe some relation with both? Not basing this on any theology or fiqh, just logic.
We know that if a slave woman give birth a child. Then her status will be raised up automatically, i.e., she will be the wife of that man without any marriage (nikah) [In fact, most of the abbasid khaliphas were born this way]. Hence, Maria al kibtia (I am not sure, did he accept islam or not) gave birth Ibrahim [son of the Prophet (SWS)]. In that case, should we call her mother of the believer or not?
From my knowledge, the status is raised if a slave woman has a child but she doesn't becomes a wife. If I'm not mistaken she becomes a special category of "Om al-walad" or "Mother of the child". Allah knows best.
