If you look at my hotbar, I lose my golden pickaxe, first-aid egg, obsidian, and my arrows go back to 32 when I prestige. Mystics are all kept on prestige though, so I didn't lose any of them.
There are a few places in most maps where if you stand there for long enough, you will get sent back to spawn with your streak reset, but it won't take away your mystic lives
