প্রিয় দর্শক আপনি যদি কোন জমি মাপতে চান সেক্ষেত্রে আপনার প্রথম কাজ হচ্ছে সেই জমির চারদিকের দৈর্ঘ্য প্রস্থ মাপা। জমির চারদিকের দৈর্ঘ্য প্রস্থ মাপার পরে দৈর্ঘ্যের গড় এবং প্রস্থের গড় বের করতে হবে। দৈর্ঘ্যের গড় এবং প্রস্থের গড় বের করার পরে দৈর্ঘ্যের গড় এবং প্রস্থের গড় দিয়ে আপনাকে ক্ষেত্রফল বা বর্গফুট বের করতে হবে। ক্ষেত্রফল বা বর্গফুট বের করার পর বর্গফুট কে আপনি ৪৩৫.৬ দিয়ে ভাগ দিলে কত শতাংশ জমি সেটি বের হবে আর ৭২০ দিয়ে ভাগ দিলে সেখানে কত কাঠা জমি আছে সেটি বের হবে।
