    I still think games like this need a shooting range. Yes training kind of does this but, you have to load into and out. A shooting range would have all the weapons, ammos, and gear respawning there so that you can play around.

    • @agdooki9031
      @agdooki9031 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      Agreed. It would need targets that move at hunter speed so we can practice leading shots at various ranges. Shooting barely moving zombies and lanterns are good and all for basic aim, but does nothing for leading.

      I have been saying this for a long tie. The devs make the excuse that the training mode is enough to learn and practice shooting, but thats not even remotely true since as you said, hunters move at different speed, are rarely stationary, and this is a game that has low bullet velocity and you must learn to lead

    Going into training mode with the Winnie swift and 4x ammo boxes for 10/20 minute before Hunt sessions shows me how much my aim varies from day to day and with no pressure from other players it lets you fine tune and experiment with things like movement you otherwise just wouldn't. Also agree about the Winnie and High Velocity, I can't go back to the Mosin anymore, The Swift is just way more fun and versatile, its only weakness is body shots at range but Hunt is all about the headshot anyway. Surprised how rarely I see others using it.

    • @Jacktoriousrexrex
      @Jacktoriousrexrex 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree once you get good with the winnie swift with high velocity theres no going back. I do still use the mosin though as it does good damage on body shots if you dont have time for a long session to warm up on those headshots.

    I personally like to warm up in trials! Is it useful, in your opinion, Rachta?
    My favorite:
    -Lawson station (you have mosin and have to shoot 25 heads in 2 mins from station roof)
    - slaughterhouse (you have Winnie swift and tons of grunts to shoot on a compound)
    These trials allows you to spend your time efficiently by not running and seeking for zombies in training mode

    The tip about forcing yourself to take hard shots, and challenging yourself in general, is gold. I think a lot of people go into aim training in their respective games and just aim comfortably and hope that hundreds of hours of doing that will help them. To some extent, it will, but to truly become better and challenge yourself, you have to get out of your comfort zone for a while.

    Sparks is a must use gun for new players as it gets you used to shooting and then changing position to engage from different angles which is a must in hunt. It also gets you in the habit of switching to your secondary for quick follow up shots. Another needed habit for this game. Sparks was a game changer for me it improved my games greatly.

    I needed a vid like this around now, i've gotten in a rut in terms of how I play. My aim feels like it's gotten much worse despite me playing more often than I used to and I don't really know what to do about it. I use a game called Intake to warm up my aim before I play hunt. Using third party software is good and does help, you do not need to do everything in hunt to be good at aiming. Its transferable. Anyone can have good aim, you just need to practice every day and that does not include playing games of hunt. That isnt practice, that is actual playing. Spending 10 minutes to get into a single gunfight and lose it will not help you. You need to pick something you enjoy doing and use that to practice and keep at it, practice before your game sessions everyday and you can have good aim. Then you can move onto the harder things like flanking, that can only be practiced in game by dying and learning from why you died.

  • @Sacredsnow2

    See a lot of comments talking about lead time and how other guns are so different to the WinnieC/sparks that this video doesn’t actually help or isn’t what you are looking for so:
    TLDR: aim has nothing to do with lead time. In the context of this video it’s how long it takes to put your iron sights where you want them to be.
    So the “aim” that rachta is talking about in the video is target acquisition time, or how long it takes you to put the iron sights where you want them.
    You can learn that easily with the WinnieC because it has almost no sway.
    The sparks teaches you to do it realistically; peeking different angles, quickly refinding and aiming at your target.
    Edit: the sparks is also a more realistic gun to train with because the WinnieC has almost no sway whereas most guns in the game have a decent amount.
    The issue with the WinnieC is that players tend to kill themselves by repeeking the same angle and they get headtapped. The sparks forces you to take a 4 sec reload after every shot which gives you time to think: hey maybe I should find another angle to shoot from.
    So yes of course you still have to learn or get a feel for the lead time of every gun, but that’s not what this video is about.

    Reducing my sensitivities/mouse dpi has worked great for me. I went down to 400 dpi and fairly low sens and I connect more shots now. Anyone who's struggling should experiment with really low sens, even if it feels sluggish, and slowly raise it to find the balance between connecting shots and fast movement.

    Gotta disagree with the point made at 1:53. When training your body taking it slow and getting it correct builds technique and accuracy. By consistently building good technique and accuracy and by continuing to practice it you will naturally get faster over time. Literally nobody tells musicians to just hammer through something they can't play at full speed until they get it right. They slow it down, make sure they get all the technique correct, then speed up. Same is true of basically every other physical activity. Mouse input is a physical activity.
    Forcing yourself to do bunch of speedy headshots that miss is only going to reinforce making speedy headshots that miss. This isn't a new concept to the idea of "practice".
    There's a phrase, practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

    Another thing I find really useful is playing an aim trainer 5 minutes before warming up in hunt, because it gets your raw aim (independent from hunt mechanics) warmed up way faster than hunt.
    In hunt, you maybe get 10 - 20 zombies per minute for practise shots, while in aim trainers you get way more targets, depending on how fast you are.

Useful in fire fights for sure. Maybe not grind out prestige 100 but a few of them can really switch it up. Plus you might get a random skin you really like for a gun you don't normally use and it gives you incentive to try new things out. Best of luck in the Bayou.

    Okay, I just wanna know one thing. How’d you get a level 1 hunter, with trait points to spend and have 5 traits?

    • @Zsemlemester99
      @Zsemlemester99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Legendary hunters (and tier 3 hunters in general) come with 3 traits. You can pay 25 blood bonds to respec the useless traits, and get free to spend trait points. I think Rachta respecced a more expensive trait, and then spent the points on cheaper skills (levering: 3 points, iron repeater: 2 points, kiteskin: 1 points), thus turning a useless big trait into 3 cheaper but useful ones. Hope this helped :D

      @@Zsemlemester99 I would’ve guessed that, just surprised when i saw Doctor already on the Hunter too! Must’ve gotten a lot of expensive traits on the shuffle

    in this state of the game aim is secondary, servers are totaly out of control, fps drop , render bug, lags like hell, even the AI spawns 2 or 3 secs too late...hunt was 2018 in a lot of better shape then 2021.

    Yeah this is generally good advice but you’re leaving out a lot of assumptions. For example, your ping is usually 20ms or less and your FPS is 120+. These specs are outside of the average person playing this game. Couple this with the fact that the devs are constantly changing gun and ammo specs, hit reg, server adjustments, etc. and now there’s this whole frame dropping issue so it’s becoming impractical to learn the game because you just don’t get consistent experience unless you have a high end PC and live next to the server. Most of the shots and plays you make would never work if you had twice the ping and half the frames. Videos from top streamers typically don’t represent the average gameplay experience for a given person.

      idk if u trolling or being serious

    • @tastelesstouch
      @tastelesstouch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RachtaZ Nah I'm dead serious. For a game that relies so much on timing, placement, aim, etc. it's pretty frustrating when you die because the game locks up in the middle of fights or your ping shoots up like crazy when other players are near. For example, you yourself have a high end rig and have the "optimal" machine for running the game and you still get desyncs all the time in your videos, that shouldn't be happening. The point I'm trying to make is that it's hard to learn the feel for a game when it is constantly changing to things outside of your control.
