Hej everybody. It's a story from 90 years ago. Not a political manifesto. A great story.

There’s an episode of ST Voyager that begins a bit like this. That was a nice story, Unrealistic, given modern knowledge of certain planets, but still good.

Misogyny thrives on social media, unfortunately. Immaturity embarrasses itself loudly.

They would need a solar sail array to move through space, no power no movement through space...

They were moving when they ran out of fuel. They kept moving until pulled into the other recks

I've been listening to a lot of sci fi from the 50s lately and this girl gets to do so much more than the love interests in those stories. :/ lol

So this so called "Dead Zone" was a sort of Lagrangian point? But instead of 5 per pair of bodies, this was just one fixed area? How? Why only one? And were nobody expecting them to arrive? So nobody noticed a whole spaceship was missing, and therefore in trouble? So many questions.

The writer probably drew inspiration from old sailing tales.

It’s a dumb premise, scientifically illiterate. It’s a decent fantasy story, but a shit science fiction story. I find it offensive. It’s based in a culture of ignorance that rejects readily available knowledge as “elitist”. F that.

Space has no currents to " drift " you anywhere.

    • @MrClark46902

They "drifted" because they were under power when their fuel ran out. Then pulled into the wrecks by gravity

    • @TheGigDoctor

Space has all kinds of currents...gravity, solar wind and other forms of radiation, artificial propulsion, natural chemical processes, conflicts between heat and cold, etc.

...this stuff...it's for the spawn of the absent and the mothers who loved them. Doesn't fit well here, would better to be uploaded by "Old Stinkable," eh?
