You can live there very well if you don't want to live an extravagant life. I spend 150 dollars a month for all my needs monthly when ever am there , but reseacrh first and you will enjoy that small beautiful country good luck.
The Gambia 🇬🇲 was one of my considerations when I desired to exit USA. I know that I could live well on my monthly budget there, but I didn't feel as if I had the trusted tried and true support not to be taken advantage of by "SOME" people there. Would love to visit, though.
I stumbled upon your channel on my home page, and I clicked. Initially, I thought you were Gambian, but I heard a Ghanaian accent when you were in the market. When you conversed in Wolof, I said, “Maybe she is a Gambian who lived in the U.S.” Thanks for sharing this video. I enjoyed the market trip, and it's amazing how much $5 can get you back home. 🙌🏿
This was really helpful for me! Just the PERFECT amount of information and showing the process. The video had a very nice pace and you have a wonderful, warm personality for this sort of program. You should have your own tv show!
Thank you for sharing your shopping experience with us! We look forward to more videos of your daily living journey. Your posts are very educational and informative to those of us who will be visiting The Gambia and other West African countries in the coming months.
It's very expensive compared with Ghana. Aside that, everything you cooked was Ghanaian. I even heard you mention 'abom' for the locally-made stew just as we call it in Ghana. The method is similar. Your 'blender' is also not new to us in Ghana, but in Ghana, we don't usually accompany 'abom' with potatoes. Instead, we use yam, green plantain, cocoyam or cassava. Thank you.
Thank you very much I love the video you share.keep it up,but the Gambia is really getting expensive now a days.i doubt the 3 tomatoes 🍅 for ten dalasis with was 1dalasis before
Perfect video! Thank You! You have talent! Very interesting video! It would be also good idea to make video about present Gambian currency banknotes in circulation because this information is so interesting and rare!
Amazing, 5$ is about 4.60 euros...thats how much a pack of 20 cigarettes cost in my country Latvia🇱🇻...in Ireland same pack of cigarretes would be 14 euros..16$ 😮😮😮😮😮
if you earn $500 every month in Gambia you live comfortably especially you don't have to worry about rent, gas or water bills hence most people have their own homes.
I'm from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This dish looks delicious. I don't think there is a Canadian name for it. My boyfriend is from Brikama The Gsmbia and if I can get these ingredient I will make for him when he joins me in Canada. Thank you for sharing this video. I'm now a big fan of yours.
Thanks 🙏 Becky. I love 😘 the video. Wouldn't have known u Ghanaian if u didn't tell. The stew looks delicious 😋. The Gambia is now really getting difficult. The price hike is just ridiculous. Anyways, watching from Gambia

In most of West Africa, they don't have that kind of approach to pricing in the open market! The price is determined on a daily basis - sometimes even by the hour of purchase! 🤣🤣🤣 Most of the time, U have to bargain on the price!🤷🏾
This got nothing to do with Barrow. I lived in the USA. Last year I used to go shopping for my family of 4. Used to spend $300 on groceries every month, Now I spend over $500 a month and still find it hard to get all the things I need. Inflation is going on everywhere in the world.
