I liked this talk, but at about 59 minutes in he said the Founding Fathers had slaves. Some did, but they were fighting against it. Jefferson was fighting against it and tried to free all slaves at the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. So, they were against it and they were fighting it. Freeing slaves in that era was not easy.
My point is, they didn't have that inconsistency. It was certain Southern States that would not allow them to free the slaves at the time.
