Pretty awesome chicken pen! You will probably find that you still can’t keep up with demand and need a few more of them. Lol Looks like a great investment in the business to me.
Seems like a pretty big margin for the build for a high tunnel with some bells and whistles. Also 280 bird in 200 sqft sounds like pushing the regenerative/ pasture raised ethos.
We're running more like 250 and I wondered if it would be crowded, but the end result has been cleaner, healthier birds and a much more consistent product than we had in our Salatin style tractors last year, even moving them twice a day at the end. (75 in a 10x12). Our mortality is down considerably over last year.
Did you build that chicken mobile yourself? if yes, can you please share , costs and materials which you used? i wanna build that one. Greetings from Maryland
I have been thinking about getting a few of these for quite some time. After 7 or so months, what works exceptionally well and what needs to be improved, in your opinion? What maintenace costs have you incurred? Thanks in advance.
Hello bro , you said at the second minute and forty-one seconds that this house can accommodate 250 chickens. I have a question, what is the area of this house?
pretty jarring to have super quiet dialog then get blasted by and full volume intro that goes for almost 2 min its modern day YT 7 seconds max and fix your audio
@@imnotgaye listen dummy they have 346 followers they need the help you cant just call anyone who has legitimate criticism a karen and on top of they they spent 30k for a chicken caravan wen you can build one that's not susceptible to snow damage for about $2500 CAD
You don’t know what you’re talking about. The labor cost this item saved will pay for itself in a couple years plus they can run more chickens in these new models.
It’s also relatively free of maintenance. For older farmers working by themselves …. The hours in the day and what can be done are incredibly valuable!
That's different, not sure why u need to spend that kind of money, I raise 20 chickens by my garden cost 20$ for the chickens a year, that's it not expensive or complicated?
@@rockyridgefarm Haha, I was just trying to state you don't have to spend tons of money to raise chickens,.so you mock me haha, and I do it in my spare time as I walk by my garden on my 1000acre farm, wow well done haha.
Ok, that is the best chicken tractor I have ever seen. Only needs some type of heater for the water system. You will love this for the years to come

very well thought out units , I would agree they will pay for themselves quickly

Those look like nice units. I would actually consider those costs reasonable for the ROI.

We did not, we purchased it from Mobile Chicken House out of Lancaster PA
Great video... 👍
Would love to see updates...
I like their style for broiler and laying coops.
We just posted the year 1 review video, they've been amazing! th-cam.com/video/6KuKebe5GjU/w-d-xo.html
Cant wait to see some updates on these! Sounds pricy but the labour savings is worth it I would say!
We plan on it, we should be rolling by mid April
@@rockyridgefarmhow are these working for your farm? Any videos coming soon on them?
@@zachmanners9383 these have been amazing! Will hopefully get a video put up soon.

I need one of these
Beautiful system

Dimensions: 12′ wide x 24′ long (full length including extendable tongue and the bin is 34′)
Square footage: 288 sq. ft.
Id like to see a small 26hp pony motor installed so it could be self propelled with a push button left and right control
haha! That's a great idea, you should drop them a note.
How would you do this with Layers? Eggs are expensive. ....
The company has a trailer version for layers, it's pretty sweet!
mobilechickenhouse.com
Could you raise layers in there?
The manufacturer has a model that's designed for layers, but we've used these for our laying hens in the winter, they stay pretty warm.
@@rockyridgefarmI’m very interested in their coops for layers. If you can swing it, they make so much sense.
I want a 50 chicken version
mobilechickenhouse.com/portable-chicken-coops/
And what is the broilers capacity?
275 birds
What are dimensions of this house?
12' x 24'

Should have just uses T post, pvc pipe and greenhouse plastic with wiggle wire. Could have easily saved yourself 25k
250-280 birds in a 240 sqft yeah not a good idea

Mainly because we're raising about 2000 birds this summer, we ran out of space in our garden! LOL
