Something is very off about this story (of which I have now heard three different versions). Maybe it was the jarring realization that survival training came after it's usefulness? Maybe it was realizing, in this story, Earth's greatest threat wasn't even something about Earth? Could easily be both!!!
I was a bit annoyed that the act of Alien detractors attacking the Students was used AGAINST Earth's inclusion.
