  • This soft spoken history/culture ASMR podcast takes us on an exploration of beautiful old libraries. Together, we'll discover a little bit about the history of libraries (especially in Western Europe) - and then we'll also take a closer look at a selection of gorgeous old libraries you can visit for yourself. It's bibliophile heaven!
Other talks I've made that feature wonderful libraries:

Incredible video. I'm a librarian myself passing exams to become curator of libraries and the knowledge + relaxing tone is unvaluable

Gosh, coming from a librarian and curator, that's a compliment indeed - thank you! ❤

This must be the first use of the word etymology in ASMR. My kudos to you on unlocking this achievement.

Thank you! ❤️ All is well - I have a lot of wonderful work on at the moment, either performing in or directing several different audio and theatre projects - and so I simply haven't had time to settle down and research/make any new ASMR videos. But as soon as I have the time, I will do so! Meanwhile, I hope you're well, too 🙂

I'm not at the moment... although it's something i could look into, if you think it would be helpful! In the meanwhile, I think if you subscribe to the channel, you should be able to track me down more easily - I don't ever send out updates, but I think TH-cam puts up new videos for subscribers, when they come out?

Disappointed by the fact that you completely neglected the libraries of Nalanda, Takshashila, the ancient universities of India, and the Buddhist monasteries which holds ancient scrolls of Eastern wisdom. The Islamic libraries and scholars you mentioned where mostly built as a result of conquests and looting by islamist rulers in India who undertook the tasks of translating a whole lot if Indic texts varied from astrophysics, advanced mathematics, philosophy to arts and healthcare. Please do your research through before you present to ensure avoidance of gaps. As always apprecite your efforts.😊

Thank you very much for the information, it's much appreciated. I do spend hours researching my topics, but in this case, there were clearly gaps in my knowledge.
