sending letters has kept me sane during this quarantine so i hope you enjoyed this pen pal with meeee! i really tried my best 🥺 please let me know if you have cute stationery recs because i’m HERE FOR IT.
if you’re new to pen pal-ing, i hope this was helpful. and if you’re just getting into it, i hope it inspires you to start! don’t be too intimidated by the ~aesthetics~ of pen pal-ing and remember the importance is the letter itself. i’m getting ready to write my own letters to new pen pals in france and portugal and i’m so excited!!!
Do you write them in english and translate or are do you know there languages’. I was curious b/c I want to get into pen-palling but I don’t know if there would be a language barrier.
@@clairecouraud7847 you can be penpals with anyone from any country. I would not reccomend translating from english to another language because the translating system is very poor

Claire Couraud I recommend to go on globalpenfriends.com it’ll tell you what languages they speak and how well they are at writing it.
@@Nix-qh1te it is? Well, I actually speak Chinese and English, I translated an English letter into Chinese and it was 90% accurate, which is actually quite high. The only thing that lowers the score is authenticity, sometimes there are slang phrases that doesn’t translate correctly
if you don’t want to share any other personal info (like where you live,etc) slowly is a great way to pen pal digitally!! you just have to make an account and the letters actually take the time it normally would if it was on paper!!

I would love to pen pal! I wanted to journal and make cute things but have literally 0 idea what i would journal about, but I really liked writing letters to my husband while he was at boot camp, so this looks right up my alley
If you're still looking for things to journal about, here's a small list of suggestions.
Sleep, what you did before bed and whether sleep was good or not. Doing this has helped me work out what is good to do before bed and what to avoid.
Your favourite thing about the day. Doing this has helped me identify what things I was doing which were no longer enjoyable, and stop doing them.
Food. What did you eat, and did you enjoy it. I'm sure you can work out why this is a good thing.
People you interacted with, and how it made you feel.
Things you achieved in the day. You should include even the mundane things like washing the dishes, or vacuuming the house. If your mood goes low, it can be a huge help to see what you achieved in the day.

I’ve been rewatching your old videos again especially the ones with food (hehehe). I used to do penpal-ing too! The joy of getting letters at the most unexpected times was really exciting! I stopped it because it was pretty expensive 😂 It’s heartwarming seeing you have fun doing this ~~

i laughed so hard when the muji pen flew at you😭ily alexandra!!!! i’m so glad you liked my letter hehe, seeing other people’s letters inspires me and gives me so many ideas too. this whole thing is just really making me use my brain LOL
OH and also after i got like a bunch at the same time and had to do replies back i always wrote the letters for them first/separately and then did the little stationery/extra pouches all together at the same time, it was a lot easier for me than doing each letter completely by itself!

if you sign up via written connections, we usually match you with someone you have common interests with! and we have ~themes~ so you can make things even if you’re not sure what to talk about. you *could* just dm but there’s something different about sending a handwritten letter :”) usually in the first letter you’d just talk about yourself like what you do, your interests, etc! hope this was helpful ✨
