I am a Ghanaian and spent some time in Nigeria teaching in the eighties, Both countries do have good schools. Our problem in both countries is squarely of a problem of good leadership. Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria spent a lot of money on education, especially in The west. US and UK. yet we are still not accepted as a skilled people. Come to usa, a lot of Nigerians are skilled. Yet we can't produced some good leaders! The day Nigeria wakes up, Africa would never be the same.

My brother, I totally disagree with you, we have so many Nigerians skill workers in US, such as doctors, engineers, computer technicians, Social Workers, Nurses, great university lecturers , pilots, but to mention a few, who brought their skills from Nigeria with their certificates from Nigeria, so I don’t know what you are talking about, even the DV lottery that America was doing was for skill workers. I myself went in with my certificate in Agriculture and worked as a skilled worker before I branched out to traveling nurse and a pilot. America is a land of opportunities, Nigerians are so intelligent that they can fit into any society and cope, I have travelled around the world so I don’t know what this Ghanaian girl is trying to say about Nigeria education, she should get herself educated by doing some researches before coming online to show her ignorance.

Why do you guys always say that as if nigeria is going to do something for the rest of africa? 😄 Nigerians are often too nigerian centered to do much for anyone else. It would all be about profit mostly for nigeria and first and foremost about nigeria
Also I get tired of these kinds of complaints. What does leadership need to do? The leadership has given free education in ghana. That rarely happens in most parts of africa. It's fine to criticize but you must also give credit

Where in america are they accepting nigerian degrees and from what field? I could say the UK is accepting ghanian nurses too just to make a point but i know that's silly. They need workers right now that's why they opened the borders. What degrees specifically are nigierians able to take straight from nigeria to america and what companies are accepting them?
