I think Ray was the finest Irish actor. He didn't have the looks but he still made it to the big screen, He is utterly emotive in the Mission. I cried at his turn and not de Niro's efforts at redemption. God rest his soul. He would have been the perfect being to bring home the pain of the history of abuse in Ireland in whatever capacity.
