Drinking is down. I don't care to drink. I would much rather smoke weed and have a lady. Weed lounges with ladies would be better than drinking with a girl. But hey big alcohol and big pharma don't want that as they loose. Hence all the bad press about weed. We all know it is funded by big alcoho and big pharma!

They want to attract high earners and the Asian middle class is growing. The new tax rules are however gonna backfire in my opinion. People are not willing to pay the 35% on their income or savings. So tourism will be more Asia-oriented but for residence I think that the potential - financially savvy - newcomers will rather opt for other countries in SE Asia. The fact that the rules keep on changing and are not always clear, does also scare the wealthy pensioners.

I've been in Pattaya many times. But now it's not fun anymore. Some parts of the city looks like "slum". The Chinese, Indian.... Can have it all. Beer bars closing down every day. l think Pattaya as a paradise for singel "falang" men will fade away the coming years.

A big reason why many foreigners come to Thailand is because of the lack of regulation and the freedom to be. Less and less will come to stay because of the changes in that regard. Watch how conformity to regulations changes the economic status of this beautiful country. Greed creeps in and freedoms are lost... everywhere.

I love beer but I gave it up to lower my blood sugar and to lose weight. It makes such a difference! I have lost 15 lbs. in two months. Distilled spirits, especially clear ones, don’t have any carbohydrates so use water or a diet soda and you will do well. Dry red wine is very low in carbs, too. I have changed my diet and I feel twenty years younger.

We got ripped off in Pattaya buying a property from a company called Kensington Realty set up in Walking street in 2005 to 2008 by a guy called Trevor Antill. Not only us but Australians ,New Zealand ,Japanese ,Dutch,Russian. The LAWYER he introduced us all to was in on it as well. Long story but have a copy of the Pattaya times when in 2003 he was caught after same scam earned him 100,000,000 baht.Picture of him in chains and guess what.....He was released and got the money back to the UK and two years later did it again that's when we got caught out. My advice is do not trust any property dealer in Thailand or the Justice department ! Destroyed our Retirement plans. No doubt he is still doing the same thing.

Power drinking Brits dont rule Pattaya anymore There are more couples, families and women than 10 years ago. I went three times for 4 weeks in 2023 I never went to a bar or bought a beer. I love Pattaya for the baht buses, hundreds of restaurants, nice affordable accommodation, pools and cheap clothes Bargirls, ladyboys, bars Dont need them I would prefer if they were restricted to 10% of the city At 70, Bangkok. Phuket. Samui, Krabi, Hua Hin Changmai are all good for me But life is easy in Pattaya Everything I need within 500 to 1000 meters. Live well on $30 a day I dont spend money on women or alcohol.

♥ Thai girls', and at the bottom (in Thai): `I have money'. And on the back of the T-shirt it says, `short-time only'. And just see what happens.😆 But when you go in there you have to just get a beer at the bar, and pretend like you don't know you have the T-shirt on.

It is obvious who they are targeting for the majority of Pattaya now, however, I think that there will be a British/European area in future that just caters for us. I personally feel this might be even better than it was. The bar owners and restaurant owners should form a comittee and plan to find a suitable area that is cheaper on rents and then aquire property/leases there by stealth using Thai wives/fronts etc

I think they will try to move the lady entertainment zones away from beach and tourist area to try to bring in more family vacationers along with the Chinese and Indian clientele. Hope I am wrong, but it does seem they want Pattaya to be of a vacation destination for all. With so many people having issues with the Girl venues they will try to put them in lower traffic areas to entice families to come.

I reckon Pattaya want to follow what happend to Samui after covid... The nightlife of Samui has kinda died out and the island has become a hotspot for german, austrian and swiss children families completely changing the night scene and the things that come with it... My bet is on Pattaya wanting to follow suit and get rid of as many as possible "illigal" activities.

Pattaya still wants tourists. There have been demonstrations against tourism in some Spanish resorts, like 2800 people last night in Barcelona carrying signs saying TOURIST GO HOME and spraying water with water pistols on tourists in open-air bars. Barcelona gets 12 million tourists a year and the prices go up with them. - About 15 years ago there was a restaurant called New Orleans close to Boyz Town. It was one of my favourites!

Several years ago my husband and I went there and asked about all of that...because he had bought me a plaque on my first visit. They took them all down for the remodel and for a while they were keeping the ones that were still in tact in a room upstairs. They allowed us to go up there to search for the plaque but sadly it must have been one of the ones that got destroyed (they mentioned that this happened to some of them).

Hey Trev, At the beginning of the video u mention about 2 Indian bars that are for only them, u say alot that it seems to u that the Indian Chinese and Japanese culture seems to be going towards just them, Do they have issues with US or Europeans coming over there? Cause if they strict places to a certain culture would that eventually lead to a time they will be only places to curtain culture and will reflect the Atmosphere that I see how everyone is 1 there now.
