Cold, I know -16F Tuesday morning here! The water froze coming in the house but not in the barn! We put in a new line into the house a few yrs ago, something wrong somewhere. New heat tape and its going but... Anyway Lisa and I have been at this for 40 yrs in our 60’s but love every minute of it!
If you think the carharts are amazing, wait until you try wool overalls...absolutely no comparison, better in every way, including longevity, warmth, dryness, cleanliness etc etc
I refuse to accept winter until Christmas. Until then there's still a chance for a quick warm up! Yes bury water lines! When you think it's deep enough to another foot! On same note - Nelson water bowls, I swear by them. They have electric heater in them and they last forever!
Great video :) and you have nice barn and eqipment for sheep :) I am watching your vlogs in central Europe where I have small sheep farm and your nice farm and videos is big inspiration for me :) please do next vlogs :)
has your water bowl in the cattle barn have a 16 " riser under it . It needs to have this in order to transfer the ground heat up to the bowl and just adjust the water level a little bit higher the riser should be min 4' deep
C Renaud totally! The pack just keeps getting higher and higher, and with my big door out of commission, I can’t get it cleaned out! Have I told you lately how much I dislike winter?
Your boots are a problem because they are non-insulated rubber. If you get them big enough to wear THICK not soft- socks it will help. Insulated boots 👢 or ski boots keep your feet warm if you can use the in you work...
I love that you made a video to remind YOURSELF!
More power to you, thank God I live in Texas 🤗🙏💜

Michigan also is like your weather. Depending on where you are at in Ontario, you might be colder though
We are only about an hour from Michigan... We are straight across Lake Huron from Saginaw.
Yes I love Canada to but I hate snow and the cold winters
We drain are water every night in our market tent or it will freez in the winter👍
❤
Snow, In .canada you might be able to see it almost anytime in a year, lol. 👍❤️
only in movies...
"Canada is cool, but snow sucks" 😆
Yep, temps went from -30 to 0 in a matter of days, so I am spreading straw everywhere, every damned day now. Grrr.

Do you feed the sheep feed that is high in sugar or fat, to help them keep their body temperature up.
Kincardine, Ontario
I like your drunk vids even better than your sober vids. This one was great, "ewe tube".
Hahaha! I wish I was! That way I'd be much warmer! LOL. Thanks:)
You think she is drunk, when she is just exhausted. lol
Lol ❤️💕

Thick wool socks are the best! Keep your feet warm and dry
Your whole family should take 1,000 iu of vitamin d everyday during the winter. It will help
I can't believe you'd opt for kleenex and not just use hankies. They don't crumble when they get wet, and they're a lot softer than a paper towel.
I’ve never heard of them being called a “touk”, here in Australia we call them Beanies.
Toque is French-Canadian. For us a beanie would be a smaller hat, close fitting hat without a brim - almost perched just on the top of your head :)
