  • If God knows all things, and we have no guarantees, then why pray at all?
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit; One God, Amen.
If I have no guarantee that I’ll get what I ask for in prayer, then what’s the point of prayer? And if God knows ahead of time what I’ll ask for, then why bother telling him? We might as well just remain silent and watch things unfold the way they will and save ourselves the trouble.

It was said that Judas iscariot also chosen of the Apostles had the truth in front of him but had the choice of repentance but chose to not repent and commuted suicide - he was a thief ( love of money) -but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it. (Joh 12:4-6 NKJ)
Bridegroom Matins of Holy Week says, “Judas loved money- spiritual disease of the MIND that controlled him- where your mind(NOUS) is where your heart is at - when he betrayed Christ he felt the guilt but he chose to commit suicide instead of repenting - blashememy of the Holy Spirit - all sin is forgiven in repentence but not against our free will -
Repentence follows a change of path towards ones FAITH to act on it - if you believe, you will follow me”carry your ☦️ - you fall then get up and follow the long path - we learn to destroy our passions through learning of our weakness through prayers, repentence and strive to be Saints - we shed true tears and continue to love hope and keep our faith through Christ IHSOUS Xristos +++
Lord have mercy on me a sinner+++

Thanks for this, this has been a question on my mind for many many months. I prayed and prayed and prayed for God to intervene and save my marriage for my sake and my childrens sake but he didn't. I was so angry and couldn't understand why God wouldn't answer my prayer if I was praying for the sanctity of marriage which is obviously Gods will.

I hear your sentiment so often. It makes one scared of marriage

Hi Mark, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your marriage. Perhaps you wanted it to work out but your spouse may not wanted the same, I don't know but God knows all things. Nothing is impossible for Him. Perhaps, there might be reconciliation in the future and God is at work if you're praying about it. Sometimes He allows things to happen as people have free will to do whatever they want. Nevertheless, God can turn things around in His own timing and teach people life lessons through these trials. For example look at the story of Joseph. Also, look at the story of the prodigal son. The end of the story was the son went back to His father's house to be reconciled. Perhaps or not, it might happen in your future. I don't know. But Pray for God's will and help during this difficult time. Also I'm sorry in advance if my answer may not be the answer you are looking for but I hope it provides a glimpse of hope to not give up. Thanks and God bless!

🔴 *How do you expect to get what you want from God, when you FOLLOW FEELINGS, and you are unwilling to talk to Him and build a close relationship with Him?* God is not an ATM. God wants *relationship* with us, so that in the life to come we will find eternal happy in Him. 🙏🏽

What are the relationships between the oriental orthodox churches and the Assyrian church of the East?

    • @CopticOrthodoxAnswers

There have been a few dialogues and the hierarchs of either Church have received each other kindly. However, theological dialogue has come to a standstill for some time (atleast at the official level). Certainly the dialogue does not indicate a unity of agreement like we have with the Eastern Orthodox Church.

@@CopticOrthodoxAnswers frankly, the decision on our part to bar them from the Middle East Council of Churches while admitting Anglicans and Evangelicals was pretty shameful. And I can assure you (as my username would indicate) I am certainly not wishy washy when it comes to Christological issues.
