-Good Ops
-Great Character Development, almost every character has a back story
-Good Writing, the Creators dont break the World's rules just to keep the plot going (No Bad Plot Convenience). They Forshadow stuff even if its gonna happen more than 100 eps later

@Rexx even that´s still highly different. A shonon protagonist not wanting to give up isn`t just restricted to those two, and Asta screams way more than Naruto. The only similarities are the usual shonon tropes

2) Protagonist rival is also bestfriend, also both MC and rival are orphans
3)rival is talented while protagonist starts off as sorta pathetic
4)protagonist has a rare power
5)protagonist has a nonchalant leader/teacher type character
6)protagonist is looked down at by everyone untill he proves himself.

all the battle shonen are similar. If you say that black clover is a copy of naruto, probably is because you have seen just 3-4 battle shonen. After having watched 30-40 battle shonen (but probably even less) you would agree that the only things that change are:
1)powers
2)world building
3)character development

Yuno is "if Sasuke admired and respected Naruto", so no, he is not Sasuke, lol. Their rivalry is more like brothers being inspired by each other to do their best while still being friends.
But.. Sasuke did admire and respect Naruto he just hid it with all his angst
I think the core difference between Naruti and Sasuie and Asta and Yuno, besides the fact that A&Y were raised together, is that Sasuke's goals are entierly disconnected from Naruto's. Sasuke wants to avenge his family, Naruto wants to be Hokage. Beyond comparing power, they were pretty much set on different paths. Asta and Yuno both have the same goal.

Just makes you appreciate how many character and unique characters there are in black clover. How characters and plot developed and changes, you can’t really just sit and take one character as a static character. Every character has there internal struggles and black story. Even the villains are given a great backstory that’s really makes you empathize with all characters and connect on a deeper level with the anime as a whole.

Hmm, this is definitely opinionated, but my thoughts are that naruto's and sasuke's rivalry is better than asta's and yuno's. Naruto and sasuke has a lot of emotion and story to them that it cannot be compared to another rivalry.

Nah its not the same cause yuno really cares about asta not once does yuno ever want to hurt asta or wants him to do bad at all there low key brother raised as orphan together they love each other. yuno only smiles when he see asta its not the same it way better too. in Naruto once sasuke leaves thats pretty much the end of the relationship building.
@@stevensteven1526 Right, when sasuke leaves the Hidden Leaf village, their relationship comes to a halt, but throughout Naruto Shippuden they form a different kind of relationship through their rivalry. Sasuke managed to be changed by Naruto, and in Boruto, the 7th hokage (naruto) and his (1 of 2) right hand man is sasuke and they continue to build their relationship even then. (if you don't know, naruto's other right hand man in boruto is Shikamaru).

Black Clover is criminally underrated due to its start, the start is weak but once it gets to like the third arc it gets god damn good
black clover is a brilliant anime. The amount of details that is placed in the story and the characters is amazing. All of the villians so far had good reason to be villians and the development of the good guys is explained better then in most animes. If a person has a hidden power or gets a new power that thing has been forshadowed maybe even 100 episodes before. Nothing shown or said is unnessesary and all comes to play in the story later on.
Freaking Charmy being short for an actual reasoning not just to only appeal to a Shonen trope .
Exactly. Even the side characters in the tournament arc has some meaning to them other than just filling the tournament

i quickly dropped this show halfway through ep 3 or smth..

J.R Enterprise they are really strong but at the same time everyone else is stronger. But they also have busted op powers that allow them to fight some of the strongest characters in the series even while being much weaker
