Im fairly sure that the Dad didn't push the Mom, I think the Mom was walking away crying, and the Dad was following the Mom and put his hand on her shoulder I think he was probably trying to talk to her and comfort her
I think the dad was a bit abusive but he became better after the mom took the child away. Then the mom became an alcoholic and a whole monster so the dad takes the kid away

An Actual Potato that’s not the point of the story the point was that one was an evil figure and the other one was the teddy bear. The mum is the monster and the dad is the teddy bear.thus canceling out the fact he attacked her.
@@darthlemon It is actually, If the dad was the teddy bear, Why would Teddy or Dad to you suggest to find the mum? When the dAd or the supposed Teddy knew that the mum was a alcoholic? Oh and you can't just ignore the fact that the dad was abusive to the mum. Its apart of the story. Oh and the prologue was to show that the mum wasn't just evil and that the dad wasn't just the all-good hero.

Here’s what’s I think happened
The mum and dad always fought and when the dad tried to comfort the mom she would push him away which led to the alcohol
But in one scene you can see the dad hitting the mom who is on the ground
He’s taking away the bottle so she can stop drinking
The mom was alcoholic so when it's the baby's bday the dad send him the gift (teddy) who bringed him to all the journey and the mom was the monster (which is the giant tree man)

i think what happened at the never used ending was that: teddy seemed Nice all along the game, but that was only because he wanted to trick you/the baby, he used the baby to collect the memories (that only the baby could get, because it was his memories) for some kind of Food/dish, anyone else had this tought?

You know at the end when they trashed the scary ending well you know how Teddy comes out into a monster thing well when he comes out he puts his old body Teddy on a wall well there were other ones and they could off been other monster playing as teddy’s for children and then they kill them cause there’s other Teddy skins on the wall ... that’s my theory well done for reading 😂😂😂😂

My theory of Among the Sleep:
The dad and mum lived together near water and then dad sailed away but before they fighted and mum was so depressed so she decided to move. Later mum moves in and has a baby (you) and still lives in depression while drinking alcohol. Dad finally finds his ex and her house and child but mum still doesnt want to see her ex. But are you safer with mum or dad?
Also the game is ment to show from the child's view, how he or she imagined of wat happened

The toys you have to collect are your only comfort when the mum and dad are fighting, that's why the toys want everything to be happy. The bunny(the toy you had to leave behind) I think might be the happy times when you spent time with your mum and dad when they weren't fighting. The original ending is a representation of "being consumed by your fears" since Teddy has all of your emotions inside of him(some of this is just speculation, and my own thoughts)

Mom was drinking on her birthday, so they were arguing. Dad got mad and pushed mom. Mom grabbed you, ran out with your birthday present from dad, (teddy) and they got a divorce. This was when you were a year old. The next year, your mom gives you your present, yet she is even more crazy. She starts abusing you when she is drunk, which turns her into a monster in the thoughs of you. When your dad comes, he has recovered from a life of smoking, and he is no longer crazy, yet your mother is going insane. Thanks for wasting time reading this! :)
