Awesome to see another competitor! Can i recommend you also put aftermarket head bolts and an AU MLS head gasket in it if you are keeping the SOHC. I cut my teeth on these things back in the day, and they used to pop the head of the bolts off at stock power 😅. Then if you did an MLS gasket, it will hold heaps more power, and you can fix the inevitable timing cover leak with silicon while your there haha. Yup , if you have a look at part 2 where we show some of the parts we have already bought you'll see an MLS VRS Gasket kit n bolts as one of our must have parts. Have played with these before. Mostly Nitrous though , so know how tempramental/fragile they can be.
Hmmm. Our eventual aim is to actually get it back on the road. Can't do that for 2K , but afterwards it will get a bit more TLC. Imagine if AIT had done a Wagon Turbo EA , rather than just Sedans 👍

There is an eb one , same colour in Brissy marketplace atm. Was $700 , but someone bought it and is now trying to sell it for 1.5k. Go for it !!
