If reformed theology is the doctrine of grace, election, the solas, tulip, then I'm with it. If it' includes preterism, rejection of the future prophecies of the tribulation, restoration of the remnant of Israel and the millennial kingdom (all found in the OT prophets and book of Revelation) , then I can't hang with that. It does not line up with the Bible. I've heard RC's defense of it and it's too much of a stretch.
Heard. So you are Reformed in your soteriology but not amillennial in your eschatology. Got it, and I think a lot of people today are with you even though most of us who love to read the works of the reformers and post-reformers have to admit most of them held an amillennial view of eschatology. That being said, I have a deep love for Reformed theology, have charity towards amillennialists (even though I am not fully convinced of the view personally), and I’m excited to see what Mastricht teaches on the subject when I get to such things in his works.
