Engine Turned aluminum dash with Stewart Warner gauges, matching speedo & tach. A Muscle Car before the Muscle Cars. I was king of the Pack in '58. Ahh the memories. Keep 'em alive. 
One of the most iconic and beautiful futuristic and progressive designs ever in an American motor car. Interesting that the column shifter has been left in place after a switch to a manual trans with floor shifter.
If Studebaker was still around and building cars that are as advanced as the '53 was over other cars back then, they would be the Lamborghinis of the US. Set a 53 Studie next to a 53 Ford or Chevy and there is no comparison. It took Ford and Chevy four years to even come close with the Corvette and T-Bird. I know there were Corvettes and T-Birds in 55, but they weren't the classics that Studebaker was in '53.

I just did a stop over at his place last week while delivering a load of studebaker parts. 👍. Was a pleasure seeing his projects.
