Thanks for the update. I was wondering how they were going to make the turn to the mainline. Interesting. You gotta label the old SpaceX facility for the next update at this location.
Didn’t realize you could see it until you mentioned it. I’ve driven by it a few times but thought it was too far out to actually recognize but I guess I was wrong.
Great video! I was wondering if you have had any correspondence with Brightline before shooting the drone videos? I'm thinking of doing similar construction updates in my own city and I thought I'd come to the pro :)
Roaming Railfan, very nice video as always, thank you. Would it be possible for a future video to capture: 1). The progress of ROW crossing over the St. John’s River and 2). Continuing west from that crossing into Orange County from Brevard County, it appears there is a short segment of the ROW with the concrete walls up on both sides of the future double-track mainline and what looks like a small side-walk on each side? If my assumption is correct, I wonder how Brightline will perform track maintenance (i.e., replace the concrete ties) using a piece of Loram, or equivalent MOW equipment to perform that task, as it does not appear to be enough room to do so within the confines of the wall? Thank you.
The Florida Voters amended the Florida Constitution for Orlando/Tampa High Speed Rail, doesn't mean the Florida Govt does what we tell them too, Mr. Boob Scott. I do have to wonder what the real cost to taxpayers has/will be for this Private Enterprise.
Brightline's current goal is just to get service started to Orlando. They will then investigate the possibility of infill stations in places such as Cocoa.
They are really moving! Keep up the updates, this is amazing.
Kudos, once again, I'll pass this onto to The City of Cocoa engineering dept & govt.
Another excellent report.
Great video man! I'm glad this project is moving right along!
Thanks for the update.

The SpaceX facility is not visible from where I fly.
@@RoamingRailfan - the cocoa facility, the tall white tent in the background looking west, past the cement factory.

You can find coverage of that area in this video from about 3 weeks ago: th-cam.com/video/bMHGd01jZNQ/w-d-xo.html
YES!
This project (compared to boondoggles like California's HSR) really is proof that private enterprise is vastly more efficient than government.

The box is 3 segments.
Is Brightline aware of your efforts to document the progress of this massive project?
Is there going to be a stop in cocoa?
they are proposing it

After much investigation the SCTPO has recommended (asked Brightline) the site of the Cocoa Curve as the Brevard County Station Stop.
Is it true brightline might be shutting down due to funding
No
