For the Iraq -Syria bit, some of what Abigail R said could be true, but I think what he means by that line is the fact that Iran spends a lot of their money and resources on what is happening in countries like Syria and Iraq politically to support the side that is fighting the West (money, militia, weapons etc.) when there is so much help needed for the Iranian people and the country itself (poverty, healthcare, economy all have gotten worse over the years). The cause of Iranian people's unhappiness is not helping other countries, Iranian people are very kind people (of course, the government is not counted among the people) and they don't mind helping anyone. The people of Iran are upset that the government gave hundreds of billions of aid to Russia and Iraq when the people of their own country needed that money. For the Iraq -Syria bit, some of what Abigail R said could be true, but I think what he means by that line is the fact that Iran spends a lot of their money and resources on what is happening in countries like Syria and Iraq politically to support the side that is fighting the West (money, militia, weapons etc.) when there is so much help needed for the Iranian people and the country itself (poverty, healthcare, economy all have gotten worse over the years). People always feel like they are not the regimes priority, and instead are treated like property of Iran with no say in anything.

The cause of Iranian people's unhappiness is not helping other countries, Iranian people are very kind people (of course, the government is not counted among the people) and they don't mind helping anyone. The people of Iran are upset that the government gave hundreds of billions of aid to Russia and Iraq when the people of their own country needed that money. It didn't help when they wanted to start a new business for themselves. If the government would first help its own people and then help the neighboring countries, we would not have any objections
