This was absolutely a phenomenal demonstration 👏🙌✨️ Thank you! I truly feel more confident after watching this to male the plunge and order one for myself. I just have to say, how impressed I am with IOD as a company, the IOS Sister's and what IOD stands for. Everything I have that's IOD is of the utmost highest quality ease in use.
Thank you so much for such kind words! That truly makes our hearts so incredibly happy to hear🥰 We are so happy that this video helped you feel more confident in trying our inlays! We hope you love them!!🤗🥰❤
Thanks ladies for this edited video. I have quite a few of your Transfers, but have only used the Floral one so far. One of my favorite videos is one you ladies did with I think Birds & Brambles using cool boarder techniques. You made some beautiful finished projects. Look forward to more of those and others. Great company, great job you have been blessed by God. :)
You are so welcome! We hope this gets you off the struggle bus! hehe. Feel free to ask questions or get support in our Creative Tribe, we are all learning and getting better together. :)
OMG that demonstration was awesome. You girls make it look so easy but this girl knows she’ll mess it up for sure 😅. I’m still a newbie when it comes to using any of the products that IOD sells. ( I don’t mess up with the transfers though) Have some difficulty with the molds n use corn starch. Anyway those inlays are so beautiful. I would really like to try doing it. Maybe in small portions. This video was so helpful. What a creative idea making these inlays. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you so much, Shelly!! You'd be surprised how easy these inlays can be once you get it down! Starting off small would be a great idea! Just practice until you're comfortable to commit to a large piece! They are truly so much fun to work with🥰🙌❤
Great video and explanations! Thank you! What is the transparent liquid you put down onto the base coat and spread around, before you put the Paint Inlay sheet down? Is it water (looks thicker than water)? Is it polyurethane?
So glad that you enjoyed! So after the inlay is placed, you'll spritz with water. BUT if you mean towards the end of the video where we apply it to a clear coat- that one is general finishes flat out flat. People have used many different clear coats but we have found for us, this one works really well🤗
@@IronOrchidDesigns Thanks for the reply.... What I meant was the clear liquid from a blue squeeze bottle. Then you spread it out with the rubber thing. BEFORE you put the paint inlay down.... is this also General Finishes flat out flat, or is it something else?
Thank you! Do we spritz water after using the brayer before allowing our project to dry? Or just before placing the inlay in the paint and before removal? Thanks again! ❤
Hi Teri! Yes! You will spritz water before laying it down, and then again after you used the brayer. Then you allow it to dry. Then you spritz it one more time before lifting the paper off🤗❤
Question, do you Have to paint the surface before laying Down the inlay or can I just spray inlay, place on my dry project ,? Will you please explain why I need to paint. Thank you ! Love EVERYTHING
The paint or poly is what "grabs" the inlay. Water will release the inlay onto your substrate (surface) but there must be a product of some type to retain the inlay. In other words, there must be something for the inlay to adhere to.
Hi Debra! In order to activate the paint on the inlay, it must be laid into wet paint. The paint on the inlay paper needs something to grip onto. I hope this helps! Thank you🥰🤗❤
Thank you for the info! I just got my very first inlay from my stockist and I was scared to try it before this video... Why is that you need to use a flat top coat for the inlay process? Just trying to learn ❤ oh, I got the Melange inlay so I had many tries in case I messed up!
Hi Paige! How exciting!! The inlays truly are so much fun to work with! The inlays technically don't have to lay into a matte finish top coat, we just have the best outcome with this specific one! For us, general finishes flat out flat has been the superior brand for the top coat inlay process🙌🤗 Let us know how your first inlay goes! We are so excited for you🤩❤
Hi Michelle! They really can go on any color, just be mindful of the colors in the inlay. You don't want to pick anything too close to the colors that are already there🤗
Hi Jeannie! 5 to 10 minutes because you don't want to paint to dry before applying the next sheet. If you work in sections, you can really take your time with each section and not have to worry about the paint drying too much for application🤗❤️

So much great information 🙌🥳
So happy that it helped🙌❤
Do the inlays need to go on a lighter background colour as decoupage does? I have the Moroccan one. Thank you for your help!

@@IronOrchidDesigns Thank you so much!
What color blue did you use? Would love to know the inlay name? Have been looking for that one.
I wish I could give the color but I think it was a mix if I remember correctly 😣 The inlay is our Paradise inlay🥰🩵
Pretty but to expensive
What exactly is a "medium coat" this "base coat" ?
Got it thanks
❤️❤️
Too fiddly darling heart..not for me I'm afraid ❤ but I do love it
Any new ones coming out in 2024?
Yes! Stay tuned👀🤗
👉Do you mean 5 to 10 minute second window to work with @ 21:55 minutes into this video?????????????
