    Ridiculous cabinet. How on earth did all the other parties agree to such an imbalance in the power structures? The ANC have come out clear winners on this one. Sad but true...

    One actually wonders about this that is out on social media : What does the ANC want? Having DA do the work that they should have done over the last 30 years. If the system works, the ANC takes the credit. If things don’t work, DA will be blamed.

    The DA should never have agreed to that letter of intent without stipulating a marked reduction in cabinet posts and a clear understanding regarding proportionality. The ANC, even after its loss, hasn't changed one bit. Now, we sit with a bloated cabinet filled with incompetent ANC deployees and can therefore expect more of the same. The DA is on a leash, so I won't hold my breath. It's quite disappointing, to say the least, and very far from a GNU. The ANC has far too much power because the cabinet does not reflect the will of the people.

      I totally agree with you! The ANC laughs all the way to the bank (again!)

      The DA was completely conned at national level and all they have done is to spin the ANC good story🤮

    The ANC has played a very smart game. They have diluted the DAs power in cabinet by increasing the number of cabinet posts and removing crucial areas from DA control. This is bad faith. It's also a history of bad faith. So the DA should respond in kind in parliament when that vote of no confidence comes up. Ramaphosas only goal is retaining ANC power, looking at the cabinet

      More people should be outraged with the ANC.

    Everyone in that coalition should have demanded a reduction in cabinet and proportionality in terms of NA seats.

    • @ARenewedmind
      @ARenewedmind 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      But they didn't demand it. So what does that tell you? They all just wanted to make sure they have a place at the trough!!

    As long as the ANC holds the Treasury we will not see much success from the DA because the treasury will hold back funding.

    The ANC Deputy Ministers with DA Deputy Ministers seems to be Ramaphosa putting a stopgap to DA DMs’ ability to act.

    We are all hoping, trusting and believing that the DA will uplift the ANC out of the cesspool they've been wallowing in for the last 30 yrs.....
    However - could just as eadily happen that they just join the ANC at the trough - using our money!!

    This cabinet is a recipe for disaster. Both parties are very divided on issues. How will they ever reach consensus? Just shows how clueless and incompetant the president is to lead the country. Ramaphosa has failed our citizens and country in the past. How is going to change?

    "We designed the constitution for Nelson Mandela, we did not forsee Jacob Zuma." How did you not, in a country full of Jacob Zumas? And what about our history, and how democracy was negotiated in this country even implies that the majority of black South Africans would be like Nelson Mandela? This line of thinking is so profoundly stupid it actually redifines the word.
