    Considering that this is running stock android without much bloat, has a fat battery, is military grade, has mid-end specs, can deliver over 14 hours of constant usage, and is reasonably priced, this phone is quite a solid option for casuals or more “rugged” people. Awesome phone!

      @@creepybeat i'm going to keep my WP19, it's actually growing on me the more i use it. but it's definitely heavy and i have to be honest and say that it feels like it might not survive a fall just because of how heavy it is.
      i use a mac mini as my desktop and had to enable debugging in order to be able to transfer files reliably.
      next thing i'm trying to figure out is how to mirror the phone via USB C to HDMI. it's not working, but it seems like people with different phones are having the same issue with different phones since updating to A12.
      i've read that some people were having issues with their GPS, but i haven't had any issues. it's actually really accurate.
      also, i'm using an app to help with the audio since it's not the best, even thru bluetooth and wired headphones.
      might make a video on my findings and once i take the phone around town.

    I expected it to get around 35 hours given that an S22 Ultra can hit close to 8 hours with "only" 5000mah battery, so this is kinda disappointing. Just shows how important SOC efficiency is in current phones. Getting only double the battery life in the drain test is disappointing when you already quadrupled the battery capacity.

      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      hej Aniu. Technicznie, obydwa telefony maja bardzo podobna konfiguracje, jesli chodzi o SoC (processor helio g95), ilosc RAM-u i storage. Oczywiscie, WP19 to kawał cegły, glownym atutem jest tutaj ta wielka bateria (w ciagu 3 miesiecy ładowałem moj wp19 4 razy, uzywajac go głownie do gierek), stad podejrzewam, WP19 bylby lepszym zakupem niz WP17 (WP19-21000mAh vs WP17-8300mAh), wiec zdecydowanie WP19 przebije WP17 czy kazdy inny, obecnie istniejacy telefon pod wzgledem zywotnosci baterii.
      Wielu ludzi marudzi, ze wielka bateria jest niewiele warta, jesli podzespoly telefonu nie sa odpowiednio zoptymalizowane. Moze i prawda, ale ta wlasnie wielka bateria swietnie to kompensuje. Ja wybralbym WP19 zamiast WP17. Jedynym minusem obydwu telefonow jest brak stabilizacji przy nagrywaniu videa..Nie byloby to problemem, ale jesli trzymasz w reku taka cegłe, ciezko jest nagrac plynne video...
      Jesli planujesz kupic, moze wstrzymaj sie jeszcze kilka tygodni, oukitel ma ponoc wypuscic nowy telefon, bodajze WP21. Calkiem mozliwe, ze bedzie to lepsza opcja niz wp19 czy wp17.
      Pozniej napisze im majla, moze mi jeden podrzuca do testów:)
      Pozdrawiam serdecznie:)

    everything look good until you record 4K video; long story short everything should be as expected but DO NOT RECORD 4K video cause it drain the battery massively. I would say 10% for 2 hour watch youtube is pretty good

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      true, the 4k video recording literally kills the battery; it also overheats the phone way more than any game.
      btw. I'm tempted to do 'battery charging time' video, using standard 33W fast charger vs. 87W fast charger (and possibly time required using standard laptop's usb 4.5W socket, which may take up to 30 hours)

    Nice review and testing procedure .... They should emphasis on softwire to optimize it so that it lasts more than this. I must tell ya I am not impressed... also they should try dimensity 8100 as that is one of the best at using least juice per operation ... this battery could go 18 hours at least if it was a 4 nm chipset and optimized OS....... But overall it's a good try from oukitel

  • @marcin_karwinski
    @marcin_karwinski 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Seems like a step-back from their previous big-battery leader, WP15, besides the fact that it comes with Android 12 out of the box and has 256GB of storage... wouldn't it be best if they went with more efficient SoC instead of that P95? If they added LTPO+ tech the screen could also reduce the energy drain whilst offering higher refresh rate when asked for so another success... Just wondering, if they did a refresh on the 8Ah-10Ah range and gone with the ultra-efficient SoCs with good processing power (eg. Dimensity 8100) still under the hood, paired with such an energy efficient screen tech, could such a product keep up with those lower powered but heavier bricks, aka offensive-defensive weapons clad in a smartphone guise, all while keeping the profile a tad lighter?

    • @karamalinumberone7478

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right. Vast majority of the rugged phones are underspec’d. It’s down to the manufacturing costs, the brands wants to keep the prices as low as pos so they throwing older, cheaper processors into their phones.

      thats a good point, if any phone would be within the Wi-Fi range - its battery will last longer than if it was in the mobile network, simply becasue it needs to constantly search for a gsm/4g signal. Possibly the mobile connection gets more power to transmit and receive the data over the network, so i believe you're right with 7-9 hours. Oi irmão. Como poucas pessoas já destacaram nos comentários aqui, a bateria aguentaria mais se os componentes do telefone fossem melhor otimizados. Até agora, a gravação de vídeo em 4K consome uma grande quantidade de energia e efetivamente drena a bateria mais rápido do que qualquer outra coisa.
      Com os jogos, a bateria aguenta muito bem, o que é estranho, já que normalmente a tela e o processador são os componentes que mais consomem energia, não a câmera.
      Eu tenho dois telefones mais recentes da Doogee, vou comparar o WP19 com seus 21000mAh com o Doogee S89 Pro com sua bateria de 12000mAh no teste de drenagem cabeça a cabeça, pois estou curioso sobre o resultado.

    Oukitel is not telling the truth. The chipset is not Helio G95 but Helio G90! Oukitel is deceiving the consumers.

      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is that an assumption? Or a fact?
      Btw. I got my wp19 in front of me now, devcheck app shows helio G95 MT6785V/CD onboard.

    • @starlight4662

      Rusty mixer confirms that it is Helio G90T by checking it with CPU Z app.

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not true. CPU Z shows g90, CPU X shows MT6785V/CD (which is actually hello G95, and DevCheck also identifies the cpu as Helio G95.
      Even if the cpu would be G90/G90T, the specs for both SoC’s are almost the same. Fortunately, it’s Helio G95 packed inside, a tad faster SoC than G90T

    If iphone would put a 21k mah battery it would last a year😂😂

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      haha, youre probably right.. apple would probably use this capacity in some graphene or solid-state batteries or lithium-air batteries or other crazy new technology, and then it would last a year on a single charge:)

      14 hours is actually more than any other phone at the moment (possibly except unihertz tank, but this has to be confirmed:)

      I agree to disagree. Possibly the best phone.
      I recommend MrWhosTheBoss’s video - battery drain test of the worlds “best” phones (iPhone 13pro max, Samsung s22 ultra, etc). They can’t compete in terms of battery life with the wp19

      Hi. One single battery charge lasts me around 2 weeks of casual use (streaming, socials, gaming, etc).
      No phone can compete with this one in terms of battery life at the moment. The only downside is the weight and it’s thickness, obviously.
