Thank You for mentioning the fact that they’ve never actually rebuilt….theyre in “perpetual rebuild” in part because they’ve never actually tried to rebuild by moving assets for future picks and generally prioritizing the future over the present with all organizational decisions. @@duncanluciak5516 keeping shit in house is clearly not working. the house is burning bruh. You have to let its tenants who are sleeping(these giants) know its burning by yelling at them.
Changing leadership every couple years is what got us here in the first place. A "change in mindset and mentality" would involve people like you learning some patience. The grass isn't always greener.
If it comes to it, promote Bowen as interim, Henderson and Kafka as coordinaters. Latter two deserve their auditions. Fits in with Mara hyper-loyalty tendencies as well.
The late great George Young preached continuity and stability. Parcells first season was a disaster and people were screaming for his head but Young knew better. Hopefully Mara learned from that and makes the smart choice to stick with these guys.
@@michaeldonnan6767 Young knew better about Parcells? He was ready to move on from Parcells after 1983 in favor of Howard Schnellenberger, something for which Parcells never forgave Young. It was only because the latter declined the job that Young begrudgingly gave Parcells another chance. More broadly, though, Young benefited from a long leash granted by a chastened ownership that had proven itself incompetent at running a professional football team. And he needed that long least, because based on early results, he didn't seem like the league's next great GM. In his first two seasons in New York, the Giants went 10-22, and the production from his franchise quarterback, the 7th overall pick in his first draft, was underwhelming, to say the least. Nowadays, he would have been on the hottest of seats going into Year 3. Fortunately for him, the 1981 Draft brought Lawrence Taylor - which showed the wisdom of Young in selecting the best player available instead of drafting for need, of which there was so much on that mostly dreadful roster. Making the playoffs that season with a 9-7 record most certainly gave him a case for more time. But after Perkins' departure following the 1982 season, and Young's subsequent decision to promote Parcells from DC to HC for the sake of continuity (which was rewarded with a 3-12-1 1983 campaign), his record as GM was 26-46-1. Fortunately for him, WFAN, the internet and social media were not yet extant, so fan toxicity was relatively contained. For more examples of Young's struggles from 1979-1983, I highly recommend a piece from Anthony Del Genio at Big Blue View, posted a few weeks ago: "George Young didn’t build the Giants into a powerhouse overnight" - www.bigblueview.com/2024/11/16/24296124/george-young-didnt-build-the-giants-into-a-powerhouse-overnight
We sold our PSLs a few years ago. Its cheaper to buy each game individually than keep the PSLs since you have to pay for the preseason games and tickets are selling for less than face value most of the time.
We now know that Daboll has chosen Lock over Devito to start against the Saints. The decision was based upon Lock's performance against the Cowboys. Wise choice.
We should go back and revisit Schoen’s initial comments in his hiring presser how they want to compete but build for tomorrow. You can’t do both. You’re either competing or rebuilding. We should have known then he wasn’t fit for duty. Now he has completely stripped this roster down to nothing, and somehow he’s safe? When he’s had 2 terrible drafts, and one that was okay. Sad state of things.
I have 0 issue with Nabers voicing the truth. Team stinks. Fans hate it when a coach tries to avoid saying it but then also hate it when a player actually says it??? We cant keep scapegoating and gaslighting these players who have the balls to speak out when the franchise is a mess top to bottom.
Nabers didnt know how bad it was until he was in the locker room. Now he realizes that if he doesn't get out of here he will not have anywhere close to the numbers he should be having. Look at Barkley for a clear and recent example of this, he's on pace to break the single season rushing record...
Unless Daboll finds a way to get his team playing honest balls-to-the-wall football on Thursday, I can't see any point in keeping him around. FWIW, I don't see how he can do it. Maybe put Kafka back in charge of play-calling?
Let's step back for a second....were any other teams interested in hiring Daboll? Or did Mara just like Schoen and Schoen was like, "you should hire my friend."? Becoming an important point of reflection. By contrast, Schoen has had to actively block other teams from poaching Kafka. If we lay an egg again on Thursday and there are more locker room recriminations afterwards...think they'll have no other option than to cut Daboll loose and see if Kafka can right the ship at all the rest of the way.
"Judgement Day" on Thanksgiving Day 🦃 "Primetime TV" for the GM Joe Schoen & HC Daboll. They will be "Terminated" (fired), if the Giants get "Blowout" by the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day 🦃. It will happen easily.
Am I a bad fan if I am skipping watching games? Sometimes it's just better for my sanity not to watch... I'd rather spend time with family and not yell at the TV lol
Love your channel guys. I think it’s time to come to grips with Daboll and Schoen being awful at getting the most out of their players. I understand Jones was bad, but “the quarterback whisperer” made him even worse. Mike Tomlin can win with a sack of potatoes under center, O’Connell revamped Darnold’s career, Niners hit on Brock Purdy with the last pick, and Josh Allen has been more than fine without Daboll. There’s clearly terrible communication between Daboll and Schoen; as well as a glaring disconnect between Daboll and his personnel. I’m so sick of the, “Well, Daboll hasn’t been able to choose his guy,” excuse. More times than not, you’re not going to get your guy.
We have to get the GM position right so everything else can then fall into place with the right coach, draft picks, free agents etc..Mara has had 3 misses in a row which imo has led to 10 plus years of unwatchable football. I say hire Bellichek if he’ll come as GM let him pick next coach. Then prep for free agency and draft and hope we can begin to turn things around.
Did the locker room quit on management or did management rip the heart out of the team buy making a business decision that pulled the plug on the season?
The more I listen you guys, the more I think Daboll and Schoen need to go. I’m tired of never seeing touchdowns. Never seeing interceptions. Never seeing huge plays. Schoen fixed the cap but so many of his picks have been bad. Kafka called better plays. I don’t want to go through all the changes but it shouldn’t take this long to start seeing progress.
DeVito is playing his first game since pre season, lets give him a game of two to see him play. That's why he is there to see if he can be a number 2.....season is lost so why so upset Danny?
So Dan you expect Phillips to be an all pro DB as a 3rd round pick? I don't understand what your point is ? Again was Dexter an all pro his 1st year? Or Andrew Thomas? Relax bro, For the most part I'm with you, but think about what your saying when ragging on rookies. I put this more on Daboll and staff for not developing players..
Sorry if it came off as ragging didn’t mean it to be - what I meant to say was this class may not be enough to save his job and or make up for how bad the 22 and 23 classes are looking
Wait a minute. Didn’t Dan seat his chest for Tommy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. This is what ppl like myself has been saying. If you do research on BD. You’d see this is what he do. Look everywhere he has been. He took the aggression out of Dj then got mad when he wasn’t aggressive.
No I didn't "seat my chest on Tommy" -- this is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Do you even listen to anything that's said on this channel? If you did, you'd know I had zero faith in TD from the start. Jesus christ, people like you really suck to have on here.
I think you guys are a bit over the top about the offense not dapping up the teammates when they got a 1st down after they were already down by 30. I was thankful when Nabers made a big play started to do something, and then thought better of it. It would have been embarrassing if they had gotten excited on plays like that. It's why I hate all the posing when a defensive player makes a stop on 1st down. Make a stop on 3rd or 4th down, get the ball back, then and only then can you pose.
@ Bo Nix is playing great football for a rookie. He passed for over 300 yards and 4 TD two with a QBR of 145%. He’s had a couple great games. JJ will be a good QB as well.
****important**** You almost forgot to hit the thumbs up! You didnt mean it. You're just all out of sorts from watching the worst football team in the league! The Giants getting Hardknocks seems like the old madden curse u get on the cover the player gets hurt u get on hardknocks the team shuts down and becomes the worse team in the nfl
This is a fact! Saquon was the best running back prospect coming out of college ever honestly.. even a better prospect than Barry sanders, Adrian Peterson etc.. and the giants ruined his career as best as they could.. 2017 2018 2019 2020 we had the worst O line in NFL history.. and this allll goes back to Mara sticking his hands into everything… ben mcadoo was TRASHH but he benches Eli ruins his streak gets fired for it.. john mara literally instead of rebuilding the correct way he is ONLY willing to hire a GM that will take a RB 2nd overall with the worst O line of all time just to give Eli another chance give him a running game… so they hire Gettlemen on the agreement that Eli will still be the starter and were going to take a RB 2nd overall with the worst O line in NFL history… what happens Eli had ZERO protection started falling and taking sacks before the play would even start.. who wouldnt a guy about to be 40 behind those lines… saquon gets hurt multiple times seriously too.. then they hire a young special-teams coordinator from Bill Belichick because they still have a great relationship.. but they dont even let Joe Judge pick his own coaching staff the guys who hes going to work with day in and day out.. thats how Mara ends up hiring Jason Garrett himself.. a jerry jones puppet a guy who hadnt called plays since 2009… and Garretts rushing attack scheme was as if we had Zack, Martin, Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith all in their primes.. when the rest of the league was running the Kyle shanahan Sean McVay singleback zone blocking stretch runs.. set up alot for the cutback get the defense flowing one way and boom the RB cutbacks basically to defend that rushing attack the point of attack could be everywhere every defender on the field has to keep gap integrity cant over run the play build a wall set the edges to keep contain and make the tackle when the RB runs into you… bottom line the media and most stupid fans dont understand these young QBs coming out of college need protection and a good system to operate.. its the ultimate team game the QB is not going to be the savior.. look at Kyle shanahan contact the last pick of the draft, and turn him into a competent quarterback.. trevor Lawrence have one of the worst Ricky seasons ever Doug Peterson comes in and boom his second season compared to his rookie season was day and night.. look at sam DArnold, this season compared to his time with the Jets.. Baker mayfield now I can keep going on forever typing about this.. when we had a healthy saquon and jones last year we were 2-6 or 2-7 whatever.. basically it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that when Christian McCaffrey goes from Ben McAdoo‘s offense to Kyle Shanahan he looked like the best back in the league and when you give philly besides detriot the best O line in football and all those weapons he would look like an MVP type of player my grandma could’ve scouted saquon.. i still think Daboll is a good play caller and QB coach but he has NOO chance this GM is lost and purely by the book and a walking computer on hard knocks who is purposely tanking with half of the season left.. DJ is the scapegoat because Joe Shoen didn’t draft him well guess what you gave him this contract… this contract wasnt DJs fault… we paid what 12 million dollars for a fumbling back up, running back and someone to hold a clipboard in drew lock and devin Singletary
Tommy DeVito couldnt help out Rutgers this GM is leading a tank job.. imagine paying whatever it is for season tickets for Tommy cutlets. It’s actually a disgrace to the NFL and even Italian culture is allowed to be made fun of with the mafia all the movies and even the show Jersey shore being American culture at a point and time. Could you imagine if in today’s world, his nickname was Tommy burritos.. or if he was a black backup quarterback Tommy watermelons.. its even a disgrace to the Italians in the New York New Jersey area thats how fucking bad DeVito is and im Italian we can take a joke but tell me Devito is a disgrace to the NFL
Leonard lives to slam the Giants I hate how acts in general. He is kinda of a douche sometimes he asked good questions but coaches must hate him. Daboll has hated him from the start.
What does Dan think backup QB look like around the league lol? Matt Barkley was in league for 10 years. Tyrod is arguably the best and he walked. Lock is maybe marginally better than DeVito. Cool, he has an arm, he's also a wildly awful decision maker. Essentially if you aren't a top 5 QB in the league Dan thinks you are a backup. Now I see why so many say Jones is a backup when he's clearly a spot starter at absolute worst and middling starter at best. Well look at what Darnold, whose play looks to be about middling starter, is getting done with the Vikings dragging him around. 9-2. It's proof positive that no, it's not all the QB. And I get the vibe that OConnel is looking at Jones as an upgrade, not that you can make a switch midseason.
I don't believe in scapegoating offensive lines. Most of it is coaching, and other than that and about 5% talent it's a tool for the QB to use more than anything else. Tom Brady, contrary to popular opinion, did not have twenty great offensive lines in a row. He just made it work with whatever he had available, and made his offensive lines look good by moving and passing well around them. This is of course something no Giants QB has done since Eli had his last good season in 2013. I know he got stats in 2015, but he was already a statue at that point, and had developed his patented Eli Flop that he used every time there was the slightest risk of physical contact, even of the imaginary kind. That's what lost the Giants that playoff game against the Packers you decided to blame on the Boat 'O Doom, Odell and the offensive line, as usual. Receivers were open, but Eli couldn't see them mid-flop. All the Packers had to do to win that game was scarecrow Eli. To me 2015 was solidly post-cliff, stats be damned. The last time I or anybody else in the NFCE was scared of Eli was 2013. And he played until 2019...By my count that's six years too many, or nearly a decade of fringe, inadequate QB play BEFORE the Giants drafted Daniel Jones. Anyways, to me what has destroyed the Giants, if it is destroyed, is scapegoating offensive lines, receivers and coaches to excuse bad QB play. It's delusional and can only lead to dysfunction. Football is not politics. You can't just make stuff up and have the media repeat your lies. There's a component of reality involved in the form of actual Euclidian games you have to play publlicly. No hiding behind lies. At least not forever. Everything starts with honesty, and every football team starts with the quarterback.
This isn't a talent problem, it's a culture problem. And if the team and Daboll are at odds, you have two choices. Get rid of the entire team, or get rid of Daboll.

Can you imagine it getting worse then this next year? For the past 10 years I’ve been saying we can’t be worse than last year ..I’ve been wrong for 10 years
No way the QB position is worse next year. It will get better next year. Question is, how much.
Ride with DeVito, straight to # 1 🎉 A team playing for something will usually play better, with more motivation , than a team playing out the string.
Thanks boys for hanging in there.
Can’t way for the Joe schoen pod. Unless this team looks competitive these last couple games, I don’t see dabs back next year
How long until the “should we trade Nabers for firsts” convo starts? Halfway through next year?
Based on the racially coded comments I've seen on the official Giants channel and even in these comments? Seems like people want the boy gone for speaking the truth.
@@hawkeye4205Players play. Some things should be kept in-house.
@@duncanluciak5516 keeping shit in house is clearly not working.
the house is burning bruh. You have to let its tenants who are sleeping(these giants) know its burning by yelling at them.
This was good shit
GO NICK GO!!
It's starting to like we need to show the door to Joe and Brian also. There needs to be a change in mindset and mentally on this team.
Changing leadership every couple years is what got us here in the first place. A "change in mindset and mentality" would involve people like you learning some patience. The grass isn't always greener.
Never forget how poorly Schoen mismanaged the Bradberry situation in 2022. There have been signs since then.
Nick, your ad reads are getting better. You don't sound like a hostage reading a ransom note anymore.
If it comes to it, promote Bowen as interim, Henderson and Kafka as coordinaters. Latter two deserve their auditions. Fits in with Mara hyper-loyalty tendencies as well.
Looking forward to the episodes making the cases for Schoen and Daboll. It will test the outer limits of your imaginations.
Good job guys
5 head coach searches since the pod started… no words
Genuine question for you guys.
At what point do we blame ownership for the past decade?
I blame the fans and the press. They're the dummies who always want everyone fired.
At such a loss with this team and how to move forward.
Haha... Jones haters seeing how much worse it can be
ive lost a ton of faith in Dabes over this season and youve rly opened my eyes to Shoen's failings as well.
It scares me to death to think this regime may be picking again in 2025 and force another QB and we are set back another 5-6 years
Just when you think it can't possibly get any worse.
Cam WARD
is the pick
"and force another QB". ? They haven't picked a QB yet.
Joe Milton was drafted by the Pats in the 6th round by the pats and played well enough to earn a roster spot...fire Joe Milton...
BS. Good GM's compete & rebuild. It's called doing your job. Look at Roseman. He finds ways to do it.
@ the eagles are just simply competing dude. I don’t think people understand what a rebuild actually is.
Where r the tankers who asked for this? Why r they not defending Schoen and Daboll?
I can't see them making it through the week.
@timothychandler2779 I agree 👍
Everyone on the planet could want Deboll and Schoen fired. Mara doesn't fire them, then nothing matters
Am I a bad fan if I am skipping watching games? Sometimes it's just better for my sanity not to watch... I'd rather spend time with family and not yell at the TV lol
What I dislike about daboll,I always feel like daboll is running a country club.the team can’t look this bad coming off a bye week
the dawg is barking...hope he doesn't bite.
Is DeVito that bad or has our offensive line collapsed?
We have to get the GM position right so everything else can then fall into place with the right coach, draft picks, free agents etc..Mara has had 3 misses in a row which imo has led to 10 plus years of unwatchable football. I say hire Bellichek if he’ll come as GM let him pick next coach. Then prep for free agency and draft and hope we can begin to turn things around.
Keep up the great work guys…it can’t be easy year after year of this horseshit. ✌🏻
They'd better improve, and fast or Nabers is going to request a trade.
DeVito is playing his first game since pre season, lets give him a game of two to see him play. That's why he is there to see if he can be a number 2.....season is lost so why so upset Danny?
Nobody wants to play for this GM

So Dan you expect Phillips to be an all pro DB as a 3rd round pick? I don't understand what your point is ? Again was Dexter an all pro his 1st year? Or Andrew Thomas? Relax bro, For the most part I'm with you, but think about what your saying when ragging on rookies. I put this more on Daboll and staff for not developing players..
Sorry if it came off as ragging didn’t mean it to be - what I meant to say was this class may not be enough to save his job and or make up for how bad the 22 and 23 classes are looking
@danschneier513 all good, will always support. You guys are one of the best channels..
Nabers is all about himself. OBJ 2.0

Did Daniel jones just sign with the team that tore him to shreds week 1
👍🏼
yes he does
I think you guys are a bit over the top about the offense not dapping up the teammates when they got a 1st down after they were already down by 30.
Malik Nabers will be traded within 3 years and at least 2 of the QBs the giants passed on will be all pros. It’s so hard to be a fan of this franchise
Malik might talk his way off this team like Xavier McKinney did but Michael Penix, JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix aren't ever going to be all pro's.
@ Bo Nix is playing great football for a rookie. He passed for over 300 yards and 4 TD two with a QBR of 145%. He’s had a couple great games. JJ will be a good QB as well.
@@johnnymorawski6543 Nix is having a good year but not an All-Pro year. But you're right, maybe someday.

What’s Dans beef with Pat Leonard damn lol
Do ppl actually like Pat Leonard? Guy has always been one of the scumbag "journalists" in the NY media.
No beef. Just referring to how many articles he’s posting on the same shit. He isn’t bothered by it and shouldn’t be. He has his shtick and it works.
Leonard lives to slam the Giants I hate how acts in general. He is kinda of a douche sometimes he asked good questions but coaches must hate him. Daboll has hated him from the start.
Leonard thinks he is the story.
The only thing funny about the giants sucking is Dan crashing out every 5 min during the pods 😂😂
Point or not he’s a rookie and it’s a bad look. We don’t need players to tell us what our eyes see.
What happens when you don't draft a QB in over six years??
You end up starting a undrafted free agent.
Daboll is a bum!
