Great walk Henry, such beautiful light at this time of day. The streets were very peaceful at this hour, hardly any people at all. I especially enjoy exploring these US cities with you, they feel so different to those in the UK.
Wow. As someone who lives in Downtown LA, I'm used to seeing dirty crowded streets. Everything here looks calm, nice, and clean. Very interesting to see what Wyoming is like.
I grew up in Cheyenne in the 1950's. Downtown hasn't changed much. Most of the growth has been north of the airport. When I was a kid, north of the airport was mostly prairie. I loved growing up there I still try to visit every few years. My last time in town was October 2021.
Observing those wonderful and exquisite views fosters me to ponder that I'm a wonderful cowboy. And rambling around with enriching glimpses around and relishing my moment adequately. Thanks a heap. Brethren, for evincing and chronicling those amazing views. Maybe someday soon. I'll live there

Thanks for taking me on a tour of my old hometown! I miss it dearly. I used to spend my summers acting the part of the heroine in the Old Fashioned Melodrama in the Atlas Theater on Lincolnway.
Good walk around Cheyenne nice to see Wyoming's largest city, I passed through when I was a teenager in 1985 Last summer in 2021 we had lunch in Laramie en route to Salt Lake City, I do like the wide open skies we saw on Interstate 80 into Western Wyoming I am a new subscriber and I look forward to watching many more of your videos of the Western US and other places as well
Hi Kimia, Welcome and thanks so much. I'm so glad you enjoyed the walk. Those wide open spaces are glorious but can also be harsh at times. Still, I do love the west and it's emptiness. -H
I liked your video mainly because I understand your English. You speak English slow and so we can learn a lot. Another fact interesting about your post is it looks like a trip by town. Thanks my friend. I 'll go to tell about your chanel to my friends in Brazil.
Honestly never saw this until now, YT suggested it to me. Beautiful time period to be out capturing the downtown area! Cheyenne did have at least one escalator in the past, maybe two? I forget as it's been a hot minute since I researched it and talked about it to people. These day tho, yeah none here. Quite a unique situation!
When J.C.Penney's opened their new store in downtown Cheyenne, circa 1958, they had the first escalator in Cheyenne - one - up only. When you were done with the second floor, you could come down the steps or use the elevator.
@@chugwaterjack4458 This is fact, I've heard stories about this! From my understanding, the only other place in Cheyenne to have an escalator was the Fowlers building (which is sadly now demolished).
Im moving there next spring or early summer. My Granddaughters moved there this year to live with their dad, and my daughter is still in Florida, but will move to Cheyenne next year as well. Will all be together...yay!!! Just nervous about the wind & cold.

My son and I were visiting there right around then...mid November. We stayed on base, but my other son and daughter in law used to live in an apartment right downtown on Warren street. The old governor mansion is interesting to go visit. Two doors down is the best burger place ever!
Thanks for the tour. I used to be stationed down at Warren Air Force Base back in the day. Was curious how Cheyenne might look now. Changed a bunch since I lived there. That's an interesting Idea. Only one or two in MT have sizeable towns to walk through and it's a bit touchy in terms of me, a white person, coming in and portraying them in any light. Not a safety issue but a respect issue. I like the idea and will think about how I could do that respectfully. Thanks. -Henry

@@CityWalks I just saw one video that called reservations a “prisoner of war camp”. That’s pretty sad. I do hope that America starts focusing on what it can do to improve America. Maybe that’s a theme you could have - or even a channel- that would show areas that need improvement. Do we need to spend so much money and lives overseas when we have needs here at home? We don’t even have a secure border and millions of illegal immigrants come into our culture.
I only felt frustration. You pointed your camera ahead and we saw where you were heading, an d we saw where you were heading, and we saw where you were heading. Did we see the buildings to the right and left? No. Did we see into shops? No. You walked past a building I used to work at. Did you point the camera? No. You looked at it. We know you were looking around. Did we. No. It is true that you can not move a camera around like you do your head. Yes, panning has to be done with a certain pace. So maybe you walk slower. One day, when the wind suddenly stopped, all the cattle fell over.
Do you know what States out West are best for air quality? (Smog/smoke from fires, etc?)
No idea and it depends on the year. My guess would be Wyoming or Utah. Montana and Idaho tend to get plenty of smoke in the summers. -Henry

Cheyenne would be the cleanest air, mainly because it can be so windy.
