I have tried many facial serums and moisturizers, and litellileextra riceberry is one of the best moisturizers and face serums I’ve ever used! Can you skip the serum and go straight to moisturizer. So that'll be: cleanse, toner and moisturiser. Also, do you have recommedations for cheaper serums

So i did everystep like toner, moisturizer and gripping primer from elf and then i used mehron prep toner at last after the skin care and when it dried down i sprayed hydrating mist from pixi and started my foundation. My foundation is cream based from mac and when i applied it it was giving patchy matte spot . So did i do something wrong ???
