- Gala and Jaya of the Mongolian Rock phenomenon THE HU dropped by at the ROCK ANTENNE studios with translator Tuga and talked to us about their genre of "Hunnu Rock" and balancing modernity and traditional sounds and instruments. Also, we discuss the current tour, their album "The Gereg" and what the future holds for The Hu. A very exciting band and a truly interesting talk - thank you, The Hu!

it's funny how in music videos and live performances they are so animated and intense but are so calm and soft spoken during interviews !! I love these guys and was looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks :(

Nope... He is translating too much himself. He is bad translator... Because of him, I can not see (makes me nervous) any interviews of HU... He is missing some points... Sometimes instead of translation, talking his thoughts... As a manager may be he is good but as a translator NOPE!!!
Wtf! I wouldn't believe it to be physically possible to produce such sounds without any instruments. Astonishing!

They present by their music lots of energy to people. But they are presenting lots of kindness and love when they are speaking . Love you guys.
I'm from New York, and I am in awe with the rock band THE HU. The two of the major song Yuve yuve yu and Wolf Totem has a great meaning and poetry. Greatly admired to have a inner warrior awaken from this rock band. I honestly speak highly of you guys even in this lockdown.

Great interview!!!Thank you so much for such great questions I had always wanted to ask myself! I have been following the Hu since early 2017 and became a huge fan after they released their 2nd single on TH-cam. I had wished so hard to see them someday live. Sure enough I felt extremely special as it was like a gift from God himself The Hu Started their first US tour in Minnesota where I am from. Maybe me asking and commenting helped haha I was honored enough to meet them at their Album release show in Milwaukee and to this day I feel deeply blessed 🙌 ❣️👏🎉 I've seen over 500 concerts and The HU is hands down Near and Dear to my heart as one of the best experiences I've ever had. HU🤘

6:40 i gotta agree, cuz while playing warhammer 3, i needed mongolian / syberian music to fit a race of ogres there that have mongolian characteristics / are inspired on the asian ogre mythology.
I also agree with the positive messages of the HU, and the music itself, cuz listening to mongolian music makes me feel as if i'm in the steppes, and in a fast valley, in a merry camp, singing along and cheering.
This warm feeling is always present whenever i connect with mongolian culture, even though i'm portuguese i feel a sense of closeness, whenever i imagine being in the steppes.
Finding The HU and Otyken was awesome, their music definitely made me look into more mongolian culture! Come to portugal!

Love these guys.. You should check out this indianfolkmetal band called Dymbur. They write songs on sensitive topics.. they hv two songs called Child Abuse and Rape Culture. The traditional instruments they use are kinda similar to what The Hu uses
