A good, informative, step by step video. My frustration is that once I saw the email that the book is live on Amazon, I then go and find the book not signed in as myself and I see the book is currently unavailable.

HI, I love your videos! Can you just answer for me about the copyright/public domain option when uploading the content on kdp. Do i need to copyright the notebook? Isn't that considered a public domain since it's empty? And where does one go about making a copyright for their noteboks/journals?

I used this tutorial to upload a notebook onto Amazon KDP and I received a email from KDP stating the I must include all contributors on the appropriate selection. I followed this tutorial to the t and I still do not know what I did wrong. 🤷♂️
I have read that a person is not allowed to use Canva elements only the templates as an outline for our own designs to be used commercially for selling on Amazon KDP
Fabulous video...thank you! Question: Concerning bleed...if my cover has bleed does that mean my interior does too? Always. And vise versa. If my cover has NO bleed does that mean my interior has NO bleed too? :)
Your cover always needs to be sized with bleed and that is something to take into account if you are manually calculating the size of your covers. Fortunately these calculations are worked into the templates Amazon provides on its Cover Calculator, so there’s not much need to worry about it. You can create an interior with or without bleed and use the same cover either way!

I did what you did step by step, but when I uploaded the design into KDP to preview it the "notebook" words were WAY off in the top right corner and cut off....I'm not sure what happened.

Hey Skylyn! When you download the cover template file from the Amazon Cover Calculator, you will get a PNG and a PDF file. The PNG file is large and usually needs to be scaled down in my experience. Alternatively, try this in Canva: Create a Design > Import File, and import the PDF
"The cover file you uploaded doesn’t have a barcode" - How to fix it? I don't see barcode in preview of my book too... I clicked to generate automaticly barcode from Amazon as you show in other video. I can't uncheck this option and i don't have my own barcode. Help pls!

Yes and yes! If you’re working with 120 pages, that’s the right cover size, otherwise a thicker/thinner spine will need to be accommodated and that’s easy to do with the Cover Calculator. You’ve got it! 👍😀

I'm using my iPad Pro and it allows me to download 120 pages all at once on pdf standard format and pdf for print

Hey Mara, when you click on an element in Canva, you can bring up the licensing details with the Info button to be clear on what you can / can’t do

why LEFT TO RIGHT? should it be Right to left? that's the way we move through a book.
The pages turn from left to right-keep in mind that there will always be an odd-numbered page at the beginning and end of the book.

Canva has rulers and guides you can enable if you want to be really precise!
