I agree, the only way to defeat Outuskis/ Shinju is through taijitsu or senjutsu that is why Mitsuki, Sarada, & Boruto will be useful against them. Boruto and Mitsuki have sage mode, Sarada has taijitsu and if she can use sharingan sage mode it would be insane. Imagine Sarada using Amterasu senjutsu. Boruto might use senjutsu with gentle fist! Sasuke and Naruto have both senjutsu, as well as six path senjutsu and it was never utilized against anyone after madara. I always thought that baryon mode and sage mode concept is alot similar(except for sacrificing part obv.) but kcm is different coz in kcm naruto only gets the excess of tail beast chakra coz in baryon mode nd sage mode user's chakra always there to combine with another chakra to make different chakra but in kcm user's chakra only there for connecting with tail beast chakra not combining, nd thats why in war arc naruto preferred kcm over sage mode coz sage mode takes up user's chakra alot but in kcm user's chakra never used up that's why in war he was able to conserve chakra nd use backup entering into sage mode whenever kurama need to recharge chakra

Ok so the episode your referring to with Hagaromo is actually a non canon filler episode, when they say a perfect sage base no trade like features they mean they are able to keep their humanoid form with out any warts or webbed limbs if they were no changes altogether you could never know who was in sage mode.
That episode was supervised by kishimoto as it was the backstory of the main villain. You can consider it filler though, that's fine. In regards to the toad features, you can extend that to any toad features really. Let's say you're right, it still would line up perfectly with the hagoromo situation and Boruto's. Both being Otsutsuki.
