Great info that is a precursor to choosing wisely , what hardware, software , and strategies to trust. No conclusion yet. I've watched several of your talks so far.
I have the utmost respect for you, Aaron. Even though, I disagree with some of the things you say and agree more with some of the attendees views. Thanks for the great value you put in your videos and training!!
@@ArtisticallyEligible just that part where the gentleman in the background corrected Aaron's on (hint: Snowden). Otherwise, I don't think I disagree with him on anything else, he's a stellar and has provided a ton of value to me, personally. Would support him on Patreon or subscribestar if available
@@Hatemtommy131313 ah, yes; that bit was interesting to see him confront that person. I don't know what I was expecting there, but it was definitely interesting to see such a person like Aaron handle those sort of situations! interesting point of view, as well
I am teaching a course that includes malware development for my college I work for. I will work on translating that into a talk. Thanks for the comment!
@Brian Cluff I'm 30 years old, 10 years into my career as a vessel engineer and Ive decided to make a switch to an infosec career, but I have no clue where to start as far as certifications to get my foot in the door.. If you have any advice on where to start, I'd really appreciate it. I have a basic understanding of hardware, logic and machine automation, but im lost on the programming side if Im being honest... Also if anyone else has any of their 2 cents to share as well, by all means please do so.
Hey what's up man, how's that going for you so far? Infosec is a very broad field, but I'm the same age and studying the same field. Where I've gotten the most progress so far is in practicing red team stuff on HTB or setting up challenges for myself. It's very overwhelming at times, but over the past few years I've made great strides and learned a ton.
What about building your own desktop and encrypting it with the wifi card and ethernet removed ..... does it make a secret connection that I can't see looking at my router.
And where does it store its memory and storage. Can I clear Cmos, how dies it know how to use drivers that take me a week on gentoo to figure out? I want a whole detailed talk on ME/PSP ..... it must use my storage to be so small, or is it an ity bity GiB ssd? And does it have its own GPS, microphone, camera, or wifi chip. Someone needs to tear up sone cpus, for science. And even though they won't make drivers for Linux, Nvidia makes them for minux or the PSP OS (thier competitors) and I'd not could I sonehow you vram for secrets? I know some things go straight to it, avoiding the cpu.
It's a joy to listen to Aaron. I could do it for a hundred hours.
I agree! Sometimes I re-listen to his talks while I work.
Great lecture as usual, i hope you will make new ones soon:)

These videos are very helpful! I wish there were more! Maybe we’ll somehow convince Aaron to start his own CyberSec You Tube channel?
@Retro64XYZ
Nice content as always 👍🏾 Very instructive and clear explanations.
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.

I want to throw my HP laptop out of the window after this video. 😢
Tell me which window you are going to throw it out first...
