I'm 77 years old and always enjoy your "teaching moments"! Regardless of the knowledge of the viewer fundamentals are always the game plan! Thanks, please continue !
My grandad always said before he died every day is a school day and your never too old to learn my elderly neighbour likes my Rc machines and runs some some time and always asking questions I suspect he mabey on the buy for his own lol ad his matchstick hobby is getting on his nerves with his arthritis
Interesting to see Mike, when he first got tgr 850J, complain about the semi-U-blade on the J compared to the straight blade on the B. He complained the 850J didnt pull straight when pushing one edge. Now hes advocating slot dozing first time on video: Different blades, different operating techniques 😅
I think the uneven pushing was caused by a transmission controller needing to be adjusted. Could be wrong though. Watched Clint do a reprogramming drill on some ex military 850's and Mike's might have been one of them.
Mike, thanks for the tutorial on pushing dirt over distance with a dozer, not just the explanation but also the demonstration, once a person sees it, it makes perfect sense. That little case dozer has some push power though, nice size for the midsize projects. Thanks for update, enjoyed watching.
Mike, your channel is like the excavator version of a vocational school. I'm pretty sure there's young operators out there tuning in watching you and Arron on the various projects you get involved with picking up tips on how to operate the equipment you use daily. Today you were the Solo Dirt Perfect warrior teaching that creek a thing or two to behave within it's banks. Mother Nature does have a tendency to do as it pleases sometimes it's just lucky for that property owner to know he's got someone available who knew just what needed to be done to put Mother Nature back where she belongs.
I'm 67 years old and I learn a lot about dozer work I knew nothing about. I have run a blade for year's but not a dozer much so it helps a lot. Allowing I run a dozer ever again. Love your show, keep it up for the young one coming up like Gunner.
Very impressive how You transform the land to meet the farmers needs. ThankYou for taking the time to bring us along and teach just what and why You are doing what You are doing. Semper Fi!!!
The power of mother nature and water. It's a constant battle but respecting that power and minimizing its effects without too much push back is a calculated balance. Great job on fixing the washouts and helping the farmer save his field.
When you tackle the big jobs with the smaller dozers, it can be more relatable for us small timers. If a fella rented a dozer for a weekend project, it would most probably be a smaller dozer. But I do enjoy listening to that JD 850
I’ve probably watched every vid you’ve made on this channel for 3-4 yr and this type of video is my favorite. This will help those that don’t know about it. We do this with D10’s and D11’s and you talk about moving some material when in a shift you get 350-400 pushes. That is 4 dozers pushing that as well, after a shift you’ve basically moved a mtn.
Mike that was some beautiful dozer work. I learned a lot watching. As newbie, dozer work is still a challenge, but I enjoy the learning experience. It is not something I do every day so I have to just remember the things I learned. Your finish clean-up was especially nice. Thanks for the video.
Nice video and that was some very clear explanation on how to move dirt in this situation. Being a experienced operator is being a craftsman, take Jerry for example, that man moves more dirt in a shift then anyone else.
I appreciate the tutorial and encourage you to do more of them. Watching you put theory into practice makes the dozer movements seem less random. I used a speedmover (scraper box with wheels) to move snow off the lot at a big John Deere ag dealership. In deep snow I would use this trench method only because I could pull more snow with the tractor on clean ground. Luck and skill pay the same!
Great explination of how the ditch works, keeping the dirt in front of the blade and bridge yourself to your destination. You were like letsdig18 today, a one man show like Chris, well done it looks great, thanks for taking us along.
Well all I can say Mike is you probably made it easier to understand on this job than others, one of these times the way you said it maybe just made it click with me personally I love seeing the difference from before and after, it is so much easier to see what you are talking about, and if young future operators aren't watching all your videos then it is their loss, they should be classed as educational videos for the trade schools, just my thoughts and I am just an old worn down Jock, but I still think someone should reach out to you and find out if you would allow it. 2025 of to a good start yes I know this is in the past, I don't care, life is just to short, so take care of yourselves you Jerry and Aaron just to valuable to lose to injuries or just wearing yourselves out. Jim from Scotland
Thanks Mike for another interesting lesson on how to run a dozer, it`s not just a case of jumping in and pushing and pulling levers, there`s a certain amount of science and technique behind it all. Thanks again Teach. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Darn Mike, I didn't think you'd be able to do that without Aaron telling you how. On another note, I really appreciate your teaching moments. How about doing some on the skid steer.
Over here in the UK were paying the price for Victorian improvements, they believed straightening waterways out was a good idea, unfortunately as we're now getting heavier rainfall those waterways have to go somewhere. Unfortunately towns, cities and villages down stream are suffering, as a result in a lot of places were digging up what the Victorians did to slow water down and try where possible for it to take its natural course. Love the old combine, saw them using one on Laura Farms, unfortunately it had so many holes, think it left as much on the ground as it had in the hopper.Nice job Mike am sure the farmer will be pleased. 👍
To me it's no surprise about the ditch jumping it's banks; you probably already know this, but water, just like electricity, will always find the path of least resistance. Looks like you got that problem solved, good job!
I am always amazed at how complicated your job is and how knowledgeable you have to be to do your job. Wow. Experience and knowledge for the win! Miss Aaron on this one but I can see that is a one person job.
Our oldtimers called it "slot dozing" and said it increases the ability of the blade to better carry the material being pushed. Really enjoy your channel DP! I did not know about the 3 to 1 rule, appreciate you sharing that.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I learn something new every time I watch. Who knew in retirement I would love watching the land being sculptured by a true artist. 🙏🤗💖
Good morning sunshine! So glad to see you posted a video this morning! Woke up really early & needed something good to watch! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Great video Mike. Thanks for sharing and explaining in detail how you go about doing the work. The 850M is a awesome dozer. My be a keeper in the fleet!!
Nice job, Mike. You can definitely say that the Case 850 is a handy finishing dozer. It's almost got too much power for the wait. I like it much better than Chris's Kamarsu. His lacks the power the Case seems to have. It was funny not having Aaron pretending to be the boss on this job 😂😂. Hopefully, you are doing well with all these winter storms this week.
Good morning Mike! We have snow in North Texas and it 28’ this morning! Does not look that cold up there though! Good luck on this project! Have a blessed day! 😊
That "blast from the past" is a great machine! It might not be as fast as those new gargantuan rolling computers but at least you can fix it yourself when it needs it.
That’s good information about how to push 3x the dirt and explains a lot about what I have watched you do so many times! I appreciate it because I have hopes of buying a used piece of equipment or renting one and doing a project in the future. I have a spring fed creek that originates in a valley and I want to dam it off and make a pond. I have nothing but clay so it just needs moved around!🙏❤️
Sounds like the whole field could use some major tlc. But I know time and money. Sometimes you have one or the other but getting both at the same time doesn't happen often. Oh well at least you were able to fix some of it for the farmer.
I'm 77 years old and always enjoy your "teaching moments"! Regardless of the knowledge of the viewer fundamentals are always the game plan! Thanks, please continue !

Mike, you should have your sticker guy make some of your logos on a magnet. Then you could put it on some of the demo equipment and mess with people.
You're not solo today brother! We're with you!
Thanks for taking the time on what should be your day off to explain to the majority of your people the finer points of your profession.
Interesting to see Mike, when he first got tgr 850J, complain about the semi-U-blade on the J compared to the straight blade on the B. He complained the 850J didnt pull straight when pushing one edge.

That 850 with you in the cab is proof that finesse and experience can help overcome not having the brute force of bigger equipment.
Nice Solo Video. “Mister Behind the Scenes” plays a vital role, making the videos more comical and on the grounds!
Don't forget his ego boosting trash talk
Mike, thanks for the tutorial on pushing dirt over distance with a dozer, not just the explanation but also the demonstration, once a person sees it, it makes perfect sense. That little case dozer has some push power though, nice size for the midsize projects. Thanks for update, enjoyed watching.
What man behind the scenes wants to go on vacation again 😂
Water has a habit of making its own way through the shortest pass - trust this issue is mended with your work on this one Dirt Perfect.
lol Case is doing a great job of getting you to fall in love with their equipment. Nice work Case!😉

Your camera man today or your MBTS did an amazing job today and didn’t give you any grief. Lol

Thanks for the explanation of the "Trench Push".
Very impressive how You transform the land to meet the farmers needs. ThankYou for taking the time to bring us along and teach just what and why You are doing what You are doing. Semper Fi!!!
I’m not an operator, but the trench pushing method makes good sense.

I'm glad you had the oversight to get a mental picture of where to go through and what to do because it was hard to see from camera! :)
Thanks for the lessons. Stay safe and warm. Have a great weekend.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. You sure know how to push some dirt Mike. You got it down to a science.
Great job running the 850M Mr Dirt Perfect

Nice end result Mike.
You do good work, no matter what Aaron says.
I havent run a dozer in many years, but Ill never forget my dad teaching me how to slot doze on a JD450C.

Awesome job, DP! Hopefully, that area won't open up again.
The little dozer came in real handy on this project. Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
10-4 on pushing that dirt. Thanks for the local information!
Always enjoy watching a dozer push!!! Appreciate the teaching moments!
That dozer is mighty impressive. It has to feel amazing setting on that power❤❤
Like the video Mike on this place to . and I'm also 77 years Old .
The time lapse is so cool . You can really see how much dirt gets moved around . Great video Bud! 🚜 The Case is a workhorse!
Commonly called slot dozing. Thanks for taking the time to explain Mike.
Thanks Mike for taking us along on this Saturday morning job, looks great:)
Always nice to watch someone who knows what they are doing explain it so the average person can understand 👍👍
Watching from the east coast of Canada (New Brunswick).....Nice job / Great video.....Hammer Down!
Thanks for the explaination on pushing dirt efficiently
Awesome work Mike. 🙂👍🇮🇪
A perfect example of slot dozing. Great job.
Thanks Mike for another interesting lesson on how to run a dozer, it`s not just a case of jumping in and pushing and pulling levers, there`s a certain amount of science and technique behind it all. Thanks again Teach. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Looks much better. Will only know after some flooding if it works.
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect
Great job explaining this method! Makes sense. "Work smarter not harder" is a perfect illustration and application here.👍🏻
Nice job Mike,very clean.
Thanks 👍
Great job Mr Dirt Perfect
Looks great. You did a fantastic job there my friend. Enjoyed that alot. Thanks for the ride.
Darn Mike, I didn't think you'd be able to do that without Aaron telling you how.
On another note, I really appreciate your teaching moments. How about doing some on the skid steer.
Case 850M Dozer is a powerful work horse to move materials. It surprises me every time you put to work on bigger jobs.

Nice job on the repair. That Case 850 is going to have a home in your fleet. It will look good with a Dirt Perfect sticker on it.
nice explanation on the trench pushing . nice work
Admit it , you love that mini Case dozer with the power and ability to get into the places that the big 850 can not go
Mike great job as always.today is January 11th here in Sparta nc Allegheny county 26 degrees.we have 4 inches of snow.
Pretty work and great tutorial on your plan and seeing in come to fruition.
Great job as always Mike. It looks fantastic. It never gets old watching on artist perfect his artwork.
To me it's no surprise about the ditch jumping it's banks; you probably already know this, but water, just like electricity, will always find the path of least resistance. Looks like you got that problem solved, good job!
You did good. On the work and the talk.
Great job running the excavator Mr Dirt Perfect
Can’t believe you put out so many videos
But thank you sooo much
Best creator
Thank you
Great video Mike!👍
Saturday,Hanging out with the Boss,Coffee on! We got this! ;-)!!
Mike, for the life of me, I just don’t know how you can get anything done without MBTS telling you how to do it!😂😂
The 850M is the little dozer that can hope changing the way water flows works 👍👋🇨🇦
I think you got the name for the 850M! Little Monster! Sounds right to me! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Great finish, great tutorial and no Aaron. Looks like you completed that job in record time as well.
Would love to see the old JD excavator completely reworked. It's a hidden gem 💎
You got some amount of work done in one day there. You’re a great man on a dozer. Lovely neat job. Keep up the good work. 👍
I am always amazed at how complicated your job is and how knowledgeable you have to be to do your job. Wow. Experience and knowledge for the win! Miss Aaron on this one but I can see that is a one person job.

In my area your dirt pushin' is called Slot Dozen' . We also use that style of pushin' for Snow.
Thanks for the lesson. Something I never knew. Now I have a better understanding and can make sense of what skilled dozer operators are doing.
that 850 case does its fair share of work i can see why you would like it
See what happens when you don’t have to babysit 😂😂😂 Nicely done!!💪🤗🇺🇸
Good explanation on the project and which way the water wants to flow. That field could use a few days of the "super saw." I forget the official name.
nice one mike see you on the next one
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I learn something new every time I watch. Who knew in retirement I would love watching the land being sculptured by a true artist. 🙏🤗💖
Good morning sunshine! So glad to see you posted a video this morning! Woke up really early & needed something good to watch! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
That looks great! All you need is a couple of picnic tables and it would make a nice park setting.
That would make a good camp site.
Same thing I was thinking.
Great video Mike

This project did open some ground for planning and control the creeks overflow. Two fer Thumbs up 👍
Mike that was a perfect size job for one person and to fill up a Saturday when your looking for something to do, thank you for another video!
Good morning Mike! We have snow in North Texas and it 28’ this morning! Does not look that cold up there though!
Good luck on this project! Have a blessed day! 😊
Thank you stay warm
well this was filmed shortly after the 4th of July!! LOL DP is a few days behind real time
That "blast from the past" is a great machine! It might not be as fast as those new gargantuan rolling computers but at least you can fix it yourself when it needs it.
Nicely done DP the 850M does a heck of a job 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
The Case 850 to look little out, but is a strong Machine! Your Daywork great. The Video very Inform. Thanks.
Nice job, Mike. That's a significant loss to the field and here's hoping it heals up. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nice work, knocked that out pretty quick w/out MBTS
Amazing job Mike , as usual ❤👍👍😎😎🍮🍮
As always, Professor DP I enjoyed this morning video immensely God bless you and your family
Thanks DP
It's amazing small dozer if I need one I'd buy and the 210 excavator amazing.
